May 20, 201313 yr Author More resources at your disposal being a member. There is a point. Unless you want the challenge without it, then go for it. On another note, looking forward to your progress. Remember to have fun! The amount of many wasted isn't worth it though, especially when you have more important things to spend that money on. All you're spending your money for is to do more skills, and finish other skills faster. I prefer to enjoy my time and keep my money. Beside, why would you spend money to train skills that you can train for free? I can see buying membership after 80-99 of all f2p stats, but before then no. That's just the way I see it though. |^_^| I for one like to see ants move mountains. :D Good luck on your goals!Exactly! It makes you feel more accomplished because you did it without the easier resources that are available. :D On another note! Current Progress:5 Attack10 Strength5 Defence20 Range20 Prayer10 Magic15 Constitution15 Woodcutting2/5 Quests done [spoiler=Quests done]The Blood Pact & The Restless Ghost All else is level 1; for now! Currently I am attempting the following quests:Myths of the WhitelandCooks AssistantDeath PlateauI shall update you more as my progress goes on; I will also add this into the main post! May 20, 201313 yr Do the waterfall quest! It gives you a hefty amount of attack exp! Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' May 20, 201313 yr Members is a much more engaging and interesting game compared to F2p especially with the current state of f2p. But I do suppose it is everyones decision. You could always just pay for one month and see how it goes.. But good luck in your goals however you decide to do them. Pedicabo ego vos et irrumaboMinigames: Level 5 in All Barbarian Assault Roles PM me in game or on these forums to play. Over 500 Castle Wars Games with 460+ Tickets.
May 20, 201313 yr The logic is here. 8$/month thats maybe an hour of RL work. The exp/hr rates are hugely better in P2P so that hour of work thatyou are giving to paying for an RS membership will allow you to not waste your hors on low exp rates and thus you'll make more RL money by doing so (by complete your goals more quickly and thus having more "free time"). muziclab

Diapers, food, clothes, toys, gas money, Dr's bills etc. Therefore the logic really isn't there. When free time isn't an issue due to the fact that I can easily balance out my schedule, I'm not worried about how fast/slow I am obtaining exp. I rather spend the money on something useful than something that only benefits me in a game. My daughter comes first and foremost, that's just something I won't change. S y n d i c o r e✿
May 20, 201313 yr Author ^ Hypocritical post. Why? Because I am stating that, to me, paying $8 is NOT worth it when I have other responsibilities? Please, take the spam somewhere else. If you're not going to relate to the thread, and just call me a hypocrite than you might as well leave. S y n d i c o r e✿
May 21, 201313 yr I think he's saying it's hypocritical because you didn't understand what I was saying (also please don't take offence by any of this I personally could care less if you're P2P/F2P I just think it's wise to consider). Ok look at it this way. In the US, minimum wage is about 7/8$. For theoratical purposes let's just assume one hour of minimum wage work in the US is equal to the price of a month of RS membership. Ok? So. Let's take Mining for example. The best Mining exp/rate you'll get in F2P RS is about 50-60k by powermining Iron, if you're lucky.Ok so by extended multiplication, that means 99 Mining is obtainable in about 220hrs - or there abouts. Ok, so let's look at P2P. In P2P excluding Warbands, I believe Mining is a steady rate of atleast 75k. So by using the same math, 99 Mining would take something around 170-180hrs. Ok. So looking back at my first paragraph, by spending an hour of work to get a month of membership, you are saving yourself atleast 30hrs of time spent Mining. This time could be put towards your kid or towards working for whatever in the future. Thus buying P2P logically is more efficient/wise for you, if you can afford it. If you singularly just want the challenge of F2P, then go for it (comig from an ex-100% F2P'er it's quite fun at times). muziclab
May 21, 201313 yr welcome to another of tip.it's finest efficiency debates seriously though you should just do what you like, don't ever feel pressured to do something because it's more "efficient" if you can't bring yourself to agree with it. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
May 21, 201313 yr Skilling in members is much more efficient but if you plan to do this just for the fun of it then by all means, go ahead!I wish you the best of luck on your goals.
May 21, 201313 yr Spending the $8 to help out your kid is much better than spending it on a game.I can't quite get the tone of this post, coming from you :P In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
May 21, 201313 yr TL;DR But seriously, her utility is different that others and she clearly values $8 into childcare, bills, etc. than efficient training method.$8 pays for1 month of Netflix or Hulu plus (possible decrease in cable bill)13 packets or ramen noodles or 1 loaf of bread + 1 packet of Cheese + 1 packet of luncheat + a 2 litter of Pepsi or 2 boxes of Hamburger HelperCopay at a doctors office with insurance1 music ablum from your favorite band on bandcamp If she doesn't want to spend $8 on scape then fine. Her gaming experience, not yours. Now then... More goal updates in F2P pl0x. May 22, 201313 yr I think we've scared her off. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
