June 21, 201313 yr I could of sworn god cape from wildy place gave critical bonus or w/e the hell the new bonus shit is called. But I just died, and lost it so had to get it back and when I put it on there is literally no difference between wearing it and wearing nothing. So what is the best cape for mage? I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
June 21, 201313 yr Uh, sounds like a bug. My guthix cape definitely gives me critical. *checks*. Yep. Working.I've also had it for several years now, though. Wouldn't be a huge surprise if only new ones have that bug though, considering Jagex's track record of messing up things with EoC :P

June 21, 201313 yr The stats on your character page reflects what style your are currently using. If you are wielding nothing, it defaults of melee (makes sense, since you can only melee with no weapons, can't use magic), and god capes do not add melee crit, therefore it won't add anything.
