Xems
It's been about 4 months since I have played Rs somewhat regularly with many on and off attempts in between. I'd like to try another run at it because I have failed to find any other game that matched the uniqueness that Rs has. I'd like to accumulate Gp to afford the top gear and maybe one day a Phat and seems like bossing would be the only logical thing to do to achieve this. Anyways, I am a maxed player with about 100m to my name. I have dual drygores and full Tetsu and other main melee gear. Both Seasinger and Lotus gear each have a missing piece before the set is complete so I will be going back to PoP to finish those sets. So my main question is what are the best bosses to kill at this time. I know Jagex's recent bosses have been high cost with low chance for reward lately. Bosses I have never killed yet:- Vorago- Ascension Bosses- Nex- Tormented Demons Is it worth learning one/all of these bosses for profit or is it worth killing some of the bosses that I'm more familiar with:- GWD bosses- QBD- Frost Dragons Haven't killed these since EOC:- Corp- Glacors So I'm basically asking which bosses yield the greatest gp/hr these days? JeRambo
Tormented demons are supposed to have a very decent drop-rate for the limbs, but personally haven't tried them for almost a year. QBD is really great fun, easy, and a good consistent money-maker. I go with full virtus, blood-barrage, and a unicorn, and can get 3 minute kills almost all the time. (Using abilities). 5 minute kills if you use momentum. Not sure on the exactly GP/HR since I am collecting my drops, but I guess it's somewhere around 3M an hour. Frost dragons I have heard (from the 200M All Skills thread), that they are about 300k XP/hr and 2-3M GP/HR. Other than that I can't really say. Good luck making some money! :). Urza285
I can attest to the QBD kills... The gp is roughly 3-4m an hour depending on the unique drop value and is very fun. You can also use sea singer, gano, etc. Its not exactly imperative to survival. Your setup for inventory should basically be a renewal, super antifire, 2 renewals, varrock tabs for banking and uni scrolls (with a unicorn summoned obviously). Also having a vecna skull is amazing for saving cash so you don't have to use overloads. You should pray protect range and torment as well. For the rest just bring rocktails. Also try and not invest in so many prayer potions because the renewals can come so frequently in drops that they can be recycled into subsequent trips. PolarBearBlue
Tormented demons are supposed to have a very decent drop-rate for the limbs, but personally haven't tried them for almost a year. Torment Demons have a very nice drop rate for limbs; at least for the times I went as I averaged about 7m/hr based on my drops. If you really aren't into abilities or wanna relax a bit fighting them, they are easily killed with momentum. The only hard part about them is the lure. You can check out our resident TD expert's blog if you wanna see just how generous they are or need luring tips. I personally recommend Torment Demons but, if you are looking for something much more consistent in terms of profit (because you can hit dry spells) QBD. If you want consistent profit and want to put in even less effort then go to Frost Dragons. If you are lucky fellow then Glacors or Automatons are two more you can try. Quasar
With tetsu and dual drygores you have all the gear you need for Vorago. (well, a cks or fks would help if you don't want to pay for a spirit shield). The hard part there is just building skills and finding teams. best drops (reasonably accurate/up to date): 1x Elysian Sigil (LS), 1x Arcane Sigil (cs), 4x Armadyl Hilt (solo at 100m, 100m, 50m, and 5m), 2x Saradomin Hilt (solo at 25m), 5x Draconic Visage (34m,1.2m,1.2m) and various cs/ls/ffa Nex splits.
