February 16, 200620 yr Well... I'm a... Hippe/Anarchist/Goth/Skater/Nerd/Rebel Once you said that, I stopped reading/caring. Pfft...who needs government! Government doesn't do anything except protect us, stabalize our society, build our roads, and maintain our schools. Anarchy ftw!
February 16, 200620 yr The scene kids at my school are alright. I know most of them, and they even have little groupies that follow them around, wanting to be like them. SOME of them can be funny sometimes, but for the most part, they're stuck up and think they're cool because they're in crappy bands, or go to the local shows, or are christian.... I usually try to avoid the christian scene kids... But, the main thing I like about my school is, even if there are alot of people who feel such a strong need to fit into some sort of dumb stereotype, (emo, scene, gangsta, goth, goody-two shoes, skank, prep, jock, redneck, stoner) everyone pretty much gets along with each other and tries to respect one another.

Maybe you don't fully understand the terms "protect us" and "stabalize our society." Nice things...haha. Show me how the "cost" we pay for those things far exceeds their worth. And Good luck with that.
February 16, 200620 yr Ow, why do I find the scene chick hot? :( Aww man come on. I used to think you were cool  Anyways it just seems like emo converged to "scene". This new terminology is new to me, I have never heard of it. But I feel that labeling people like that, based on who they hang out with, is stupid. I am "friends" with "scene" people. *The quotes are for me not being scene in public with them* HAahahah i made a pun. Anyways, overall, I dislike scene people. Remind me of emo kids. Everybody lovin' it, but ain't no body touchin' it
February 16, 200620 yr Most of the freshmen at my school are these "scene" kids as you describe. It's funny realy, having an emo freshman class :D. Than we have a decent bit of the good 'ole skater punks, and then way too many preps. If we had a "scene" or what's the most popular, I'd go with the prep's at our school, considering a good 60% of it is preps, than another 20-25% emo freshman, than maybe 5%-10% skater's and the rest ... somewhat normal kids. But as far as what your talking about, that's preaty much the entire freshman class of my school.
February 16, 200620 yr cant be as bad as ours school senior class this year.. 95% rednecks/farmers 5% just complete idiots... they chew tobacco durring class.. and drink booze in some also.

Show me how the "cost" we pay for those things far exceeds their worth. And Good luck with that. In fact i'm not sure i do fully understand what stabalize means. Could you please explain? ;) I'm not going to explain anything, party because i'm not an Anarchist, partly because this thread isn't about Anarchism, and partly because i'm lazy. I'm content to have made the point that the issue isn't as cut and dry as you suggest. In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothesI bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal doseI offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"

February 16, 200620 yr Lets see... I'm silent cause I don't really like talking to idiots(Which seems to be a spreading disease in my school), I like silence, I'm anti-social, and I like being alone. My hair goes over my eye naturally now no matter what I do, and I don't really care how my hair looks personally but theres a girl I'm really close to (Can't say shes my gf cause shes taken :( ) that likes long hair so I don't cut it. I wear dark shirts cause I look like a homosexual in light colors. I don't like my parents (What teen does?). I'm not a big fan of my government but I am grateful for some things they have done. I constantly draw because I'm pretty good at it and its fun(I'm thinking of making an animation with some of my drawings). I'm ignored a lot unless someone wants me to do something for them. I guess you can say I'm non conformist but I'm really just being myself So, I guess I'm emo ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~

February 16, 200620 yr Author Lets see... I wear dark shirts cause I look like a homosexual in light colors. Typical, but I never said anything about emo I don't like my parents (What teen does?). Me I'm not a big fan of my government but I am grateful for some things they have done. Please tell me why, I insist. I constantly draw because I'm pretty good at it and its fun(I'm thinking of making an animation with some of my drawings). Good for you I'm ignored a lot unless someone wants me to do something for them. Okay...? I guess you can say I'm non conformist but I'm really just being myself And...? So, I guess I'm emo Too bad I said scene, not emo. But I guess so. What/how do you want us to react to this? So okay, I guess so? Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
February 16, 200620 yr Sorry, lol, I've been a little out of it today ~^v^~Ex-Leader of the Divine Flames of Redemption~^v^~
February 16, 200620 yr What you're saying is, you dislike the kind of "Ashlee Simpson alternatives" about? Thank God. So do I. Ashlee Simpson is hardcore punk...haven't you seen the [bleep]ed belts she wears? And the fact that she likes Sk8erb0yZ. :D She is so lame. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

They signify the "black" characteristic of her heart - a trademark of the typical punk/scene kid.
February 16, 200620 yr Yeah... The sad thing is I know the people that I posted the pictures of. And they really are how I described them to be. That one chick tried hitting on me... I was like... eh... no... I don't really swing "scene." Tell the girl a girly voiced male from Liverpool, England on a forum dedicated to an MMORPG said hi ;) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
February 16, 200620 yr I haven't read most of this topic, but are these the people that all seem to wear black converse, tightish jeans and some band t-shirt?
February 17, 200620 yr I haven't read most of this topic, but are these the people that all seem to wear black converse, tightish jeans and some band t-shirt? Its not tight jeans they wear...they are girls' jeans. But yes, those are exactly the kids we are talking about. Go to a few local shows and you'll notice the kids who complain about how every band is a bunch of poser's and how no one knows real music - yet they all come back to every single show. That's a scene kid.
February 17, 200620 yr I go to alot of local shows, and listen to alot of those "horrible screaming bands" but I don't dress like a total douchebag, or dye my hair every 2 weeks. I hate the way those scene kids dress and how they act. It's really pathetic. I don't agree with my parents all the time but i don't hate them at all. Anyways, what i'm trying to say is that scene kids realize when they're older how much of losers they were and i'm going to laugh when they figure that out. ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï(̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâú_o)/̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâï
February 17, 200620 yr Anyways, what i'm trying to say is that scene kids realize when they're older how much of losers they were and i'm going to laugh when they figure that out. Almost everyone realises that. Dreaming of that face againIt's bright, and blue, and shimmeringGrinning wideAnd comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes
February 17, 200620 yr Non-conformists are conformists to the non-conformist culture. Pwned. Not always. I'm non conformist but I really can't be lumped into any non-conformist class like "punk," "goth rocker," etc. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"
February 18, 200620 yr cant be as bad as ours school senior class this year.. 95% rednecks/farmers 5% just complete idiots... they chew tobacco durring class.. and drink booze in some also. I have the same kinda people! Where are you from, man?
February 18, 200620 yr Let's have a talk about my "scene" Im into hardcore, and where i live has a fairly active scene with shows fairly often. You got the shows, you mosh, you have fun, make friends, and listen to and support local bands rather than pop punk stereotypes moulded by an MTV ruled generation. Sure, you see the try hard black metal kids, the emo's , the straight out pozers, but who really cares? I wish people on this forum would stop generalising about scenes.. Hell, i know our local scene is great and i dont care what anyone says, the songs have meaning, not just rambling about "booty shakin" and everyone gets along(most of the time). I really feel the urge to knock out a poser kid now as i feel they are giving scenes bad stereotypes. All i have to say.(glad i got it off my chest)

All i have to say.(glad i got it off my chest) I go to a lot of local shows, and yet I manage to not become "scene." The problem I have with people that have your outlook is that you think because a band is local, its better to support that and to support pop punk bands on MTV. Granted, I don't like those bands on MTV or that type of music, but plenty of people do. Just because its not YOUR taste in music doesn't make it any less. Your post is the exact attitude we have a problem with when dealing with scene kids. No one is any better because of the type of music they listen to or the way they dress, yet the scene kids love pointing out to everyone who is a "poser" or who is better because they support the local scene.
