February 17, 200620 yr Wow are they cruel. Do their parents even know about the things they say to their peers? My friends have myspace and on it, some girl (call her kelsey) takes a survery and writes this: (Kelsey wrote this part>)44. What do you think of the person that posted this before you? um she smells.. So my friend replies: Did you even think if I would read this or not? 1. I thought that was one of the most stuck up things anyones said about me. 2. It's called respect. Give some; get some. You just lost mine. Kelsey replies: im sorry but its the truth and its lame if you write me back, you probibly already had people tell you, ha respect thats the lamest thing iv herd. Even though they are both 13 year olds, thats still very rude. And it's not the worst I've seen/been through at all, but still I always hated rude/mean kids growing up. My point: What were some things that happened to you with growing up (as in getting made fun of :? ) And how did you deal with it.
February 17, 200620 yr Woah, I completley know what you mean. At my school I hang out in a group of 4, (me another girl and 2 guys) and the guys are always telling me I dont know anything.... And the other one says I smell but hes my bf lol. :? We all joke around alot, but sometimes I feel really sad...
February 17, 200620 yr Heh, "NotSafeForYou" - interesting... I'm old enough to drive a car off a cliff or into a shop window I'm old enough to buy a gun and shoot myself or someone else I'm old enough to drink myself to death I'm old enough to buy a knife and stab myself or someone else ... But I'm not old enough to visit a website. It's one thing to censor things, its insulting when you censor them in such a patronising way though. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

But I'm not old enough to visit a website. It's one thing to censor things, its insulting when you censor them in such a patronising way though. Its because on a "myspace", your pictures, and much of your personal information are open for the world to see. Tip it has it censored due to their "no real life" pictures policy.
February 17, 200620 yr ... But I'm not old enough to visit a website. Too bad not everyone on ths forum is old enough to do most of those things. :P
February 17, 200620 yr My point is not the fact that it is censored, that much was just by the wayside. My point is that what it is censored to is unnecessarily patronising. If someone can give me a good reason why it is that as opposed to something neutral such as "CensoredSite" or similar then I'll gladly retract my statements. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
February 17, 200620 yr My point is not the fact that it is censored, that much was just by the wayside. My point is that what it is censored to is unnecessarily patronising. There are a lot of naughty things on myspace, easily accessible to people of all ages. Also most people have their real life picture on it, which goes against tip.it's no real life pic policy. I don't see why you're making a big deal out of this Runescaper (off and on) since late 2001
February 17, 200620 yr I don't require you to. As for the rest of your reply, it looks like you just quoted my post and didn't even read it. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
February 17, 200620 yr My point: What were some things that happened to you with growing up (as in getting made fun of :? ) And how did you deal with it. I can answer that with this: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=2688375#2688375 Basically I was just a heartless [puncture] to him the entire time he taught my English class. And, Anesthesia, the reason it is censored to 'NotSafeForYou' is because in a lot of ways it isn't. Especially after one incident where one tip.it member was stalked after posting their pic, back when it was allowed on scapeboard. And it was just a pic. tip.it Admin are only trying to stop the same thing from happening again by censoring myspace to something logical. It really isn't safe. Too many people foolishly put enough information into their profile (not just there but in many places similar) that it'd take not even half a minute to find them.
February 17, 200620 yr Rick, you just explained why it's censored - not why it's patronising. If the admins were literally trying to stop people knowing of the site or going there it would make much more sense to censor it to something generic, if someone sees NotSafeForYou they know exactly what site is being mentioned thanks to the context. It was mentioned in a discussion with an admin I had recently that some of the unique censors for words had turned into insults themselves - that is what comes of this, the censor-replacements just become a substitute for the word. Though I sometimes forget just how young this forum's userbase is. As an adult yourself I'm sure you'll agree how annoying it can be to be treated as an idiot or a schoolchild. Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.
February 17, 200620 yr i dont understand what that whole my space thing is about anyways, i found some people i know on there but id rather just email them if i needed to contact them. if i wanted to put pictures and a biography up id spend 10 minutes and make a webpage.
February 17, 200620 yr kids ar k00l I . . . see . . . Anyway, conversation: Me:Hi Jimbobtropkob JBTK:You *censored* *censored*, you think you're so cool, just because you were Scrooge, you *reproductive actiong* loser. Suck-up. Burn in hell. Basically describes going to a Catholic school.
February 17, 200620 yr Author Well, back to the point. (instead of arguing over censors) The myspace thing I posted was pretty confusing, but my friend was pretty upset about it :( ... She's my boy who died in Iraq's sister. Still friends even though our age difference is immense. If only their parents knew the awful things they say to their peers LORD they'd be in for it.
February 17, 200620 yr there kids.. im 15 and i swear to god... im the most mature GUY in my grade.. if not entire school grades 7-12.. about 300-350 peopl they really do show no respect to anyone but themselves.. and at that. some dont even show THEMSELVES respect, they degrade themselves by saying "i am stupid i dont know" when a teacher asks them a question i mean if a teacher asks you a question and you dont know.. make a guess. or just say you dont know then discrimination for people in my school is horrible. one of my classmates was making racial jokes about black people when one black person was 3 desks away.. its so sad. and it was on Martin Luther King Jr. day to make it even worse. teAcher = did nothing, so even theY whitness this thing happen in my school sometimes they do nothing. and they loose some of MY respsect. I myself have been dissed for being mature... by someone who is not. which i need not explain why that is just wrong. Really though.. i just laugh at these people and know they will regret alot of things they have done while they were a kid.
February 17, 200620 yr MySpace should be illegal. The amount of moronic comments that get posted there and the harassing and flaming that goes on is horrendous, not to mention the fact that people bragged about their "tricked out" profiles with two music videos, a song, a background picture that's the same color as the text, how everything is a fakelink, and how the CSS and HTML is so malformed. An example of a comment from somebody to their boyfriend: "hey trav! whats up? pshh i know my myspace is the best! hahaha ill show you the ropes of myspace sometime since its soooo hard :P lol jk ugh i really didn't want to go to practice today! Wednesdays are always sooo long. but im pretty sure we're playing water polo tomorrow so.... SWEET haha well i gtg! talk to ya later" How hard is it to hold down the Shift key every now and then, or type out joke instead of jk? It's two extra letters. These people aren't in any kind of hurry, since they have time to scout out lame "underground" music videos, crappy malformed HTML "codes," and brag about how awesome their space is because they filled out a form that autogenerates code for them. I also know people that have mentally deficient quizzes on their profile, like "What sex position are you," or "Which Victoria's Secret model are you," as if it actually matters whether you're closer in terms of supposed personality (which they lack) to Heidi Klum or Naomi Campbell. MySspace never works half the time anyway, Tom is always too busy organizing new adverts for the site than upgrading the servers or streamlining the code, or leaving what works be before trying to introduce a new "feature." It seems that every time there's a new feature, ten regular things break. In short, MySpace is a poorly coded, atrocious environment that promotes idiocy, disrespect, and stalking, and should be banned off the face of the planet. And then after that it would be nice for everybody to take an hour to learn basic HTML and CSS, so I don't have to look at such a poorly coded eyesore. handed me TWO tissues to clear up. I was like "i'm going to need a few more paper towels than that luv"
February 18, 200620 yr / stuff / But it's not partonizing. At least not IMO. So, *shrug* Each to their own I guess. As for the last thing you said, I won't even start on that topic :x
February 18, 200620 yr Basically describes going to a Catholic school. You forgot to mention the massive amounts of alcohol intake. Yes, I hate kids. Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.
February 18, 200620 yr Basically describes going to a Catholic school. You forgot to mention the massive amounts of alcohol intake. Yes, I hate kids. Also teen pregancy rates, about 10 girls in the past ten years got pregnant at 13/14 at this school(their is 300 students)
February 18, 200620 yr I used to go to a school consisting of nothing but, rich, snobby, stuck-up kids. They never got in trouble for anything because their parents spoiled them and most parents were on the school board and teachers were afraid to punish them for doing anything wrong in class. Since my parents aren't particularly rich, and I don't have the best clothes in the world, and I'm not christian, I got made fun of. Some of the kids even resorted to violence because I was pretty upfront about not being christian. The parents of these children knew what they were doing. They knew how they were treating other kids, but I think they just refused to believe it, thinking that their children were perfect and could never ever do anything wrong. Even when approached with undeniable evidence of their treatment of their classmates, they would simply buy their child's way out of trouble. But, the way their parents have raised them will come back to bite them. They can't always buy their children's way out of trouble.

Also teen pregancy rates, about 10 girls in the past ten years got pregnant at 13/14 at this school(their is 300 students) sadly one of my friends was 13 when that happened to her... im not saying any more. still love her though :)
