It was so tragic. My sisters and I love playing video games together! I taught my three younger sisters how to play Runescape back in 2005. We still played off and on. When we found out about Old School Runescape last month, we decided to give it a go too. We got really good. We'd train skills together, quest together, and gather resources together. However, this morning my sisters couldn't login... Banned for Macroing Major!? My account was fine. We did everything together. If they really assumed we were bots, why was I spared? I was training with them!  In fact, I played more than they did, much more! I trained range and magic! I smithed all the ores, fletched all the logs, made all the runes, and cooked all the lobsters! We never botted! We've never even used Autotypers vending! We'd use Zybez or the GE! 

Or maybe they were botting, and they didn't tell you? Take it up with Jagex.

That's not possible for them to have been botting. I have the mostly the same stats as they do. As I said, we trained together. Think Family Game Night, only replace monopoly with Runescape. As for Jagex, I'd love to give them a piece of my mind, but those cowards don't have a phone number anymore like the decent gaming companies do. I could clear everything up in 10 minutes with Blizzard, 35 minutes with Trion, and 45 minutes with Arena Net.

They used to have a hotline, and you could talk to someone like Mod Bogart directly over the phone. Back then, they had a pay by phone option, too!

 

By the way, Blizzard has the nicest support staff of any MMO I've ever played! Just saying! I love talking to real people! With Jagex, it's all pre-typed messages dispersed like dollar store greeting cards.

Message some staff on Twitter.  I can't remember who's in charge of ban appeals and such, but I'm sure you could google it without too much issue, or you can just hit up the 4 main mods, Reach, John C, Mat K and Ash.

In my experience most people who say their friends/family were banned for botting and simply say 'its not possible' end up looking embarrassed as it transpires they did in fact bot.

 

That said there are a few email addresses and such floating around you can use to chase jmods if you certain it's incorrect - though doing it on behalf of your sisters is less likely to yield results than them doing it themselves.

The client can't check the RAM of your computer, only your interactions with the game client.

That's the big question! Jagex doesn't seem to have a support staff either. It's mostly bot-replies/copy-paste crap. I tried Twitter and @JagexSupport literally said to another person, "We're not processing appeals at this time." Translation: "Screw you, We're lazy."

Anyway, they probably have my IP Flagged as some chinese gold farmer(racists), so I'm not going to even bother playing "Princss Sara" anymore. It sucks. My sisters and I really enjoyed Runescape. It was fun how we could work together as a team. As I said, I could clear everything up in five minutes with a live person. So, sad.

they have banned loads of players that didnt bot. because of their 'flawless' bot detection system. especially around the time div got released, ofc alot of bots were banned, but also some legits.

 

everyone always praises jagex like gods and says 'nope, you botted' to everyone who gets banned wrongfully.

 

stop defending jagex people, damm. 

That kind of sucks, there have been a few false bans for botting recently, but they're normally revoked ASAP when the appeal's sent...

That doesn't really invalidate what he's saying though.

There are false bans, maybe a few per month, but they're generally dealt with quickly. The majority of people who claim to have been falsely banned are just hoping they can get unbanned or given a second chance.
