August 27, 201411 yr RuneScape Companion: Now on App Store & Google Play The RuneScape Companion is now available to download for free from the App Store and Google Play. It contains all of the features that you’ll be familiar with from the web-based version of the app, plus handy GE push notifications. So, for the first time ever you will be able to receive push notifications on the completion of Grand Exchange transactions from your phone! If you haven’t used the companion before it allows you to chat to your RuneScape friends, buy and sell GE items, check your bank and GE slots, and use the D&D Tracker while on-the-go. The GE push notifications work in a similar way to sales and purchases messages in game. When a transaction is completed on the Grand Exchange, you’ll receive a notification. If you are purchasing or selling more than 50 items, you’ll also be informed every time an increment of 25% is completed. As with the web app, you will need to use the authenticator to access the Grand Exchange feature. August 27, 201411 yr Really glad it's finally been made into a proper app, I've used the web app a lot. Heck, being able to merch while at work has earned me enough to buy all the nex sets over the past couple of months. Push notifications is only going to make things better!
August 27, 201411 yr I have been using it immediately and I love it. I was also using the web version, but this is so much more accessible and user friendly. Love the push notifications as well. Good update from Jagex. I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
August 28, 201411 yr The iPhone app doesn't seem like it's a native app (could be wrong). It looks like all they did was slap their web app into a UIWebView, set up push notifications, and called it a day. Oh well, at least it's more convenient than safari. :-P

Oh well, at least it's more convenient than safari. :-PI'm not sure and the iPhone but the Android one is hybrid (Phonegap), I would guess the iPhone is hybrid as well.

August 29, 201411 yr I haven't found instaselling to be an issue for notifications because I'm already sat in the app when it sells and therefore a notification doesn't occur. I've only got notifications once I close the app, which hasn't been spammy for me yet but I could see how it might if you selling items that do go reasonbly quick, but not quite instantly.
