Members of the ANKA were attacked by false Sabres, and thus the alliance tried to fight them. However, the alliance had no cohesion in engaging the Sabres, and thus the first alliance dissolved. In this time another clan emerged, the Gladiatorz. This clan is currently the longest running in Runescape history, never collapsing or dissolving for any periods of time. During an encounter with Ice Sabre, the leader of the Gladz declared war, and many skirmishes were fought in the castle of Varrock. Regardless of which is true, Militant was oblivious to the long dead ANKA, and thus they claim to have established the first alliance. For quite some time, most clans were isolated and unaware that other clans were also attempting to fight the random player killers of Runescape. Then Clan Anfibian rose up, and Anfibian himself founded the Anti Sabre Alliance (ASA), founded on the notion that the fake Sabres represented the actions of the true clan. Many clans joined this organization, the most powerful being THE Clan and Anfibian Clan. Many skirmishes ensued, but it was then discovered that a small group of treacherous citizens of Runescape had pretended to be the Sabres. Thus to bring order to our noble land, the Sabre Reformation Treaty was drafted and signed, thus allowing for a clean order. The ASA renamed their alliance to EARTH, a very powerful alliance in its height.

RSD - What can be said about RSD. We rocked the clan world hard and fast.

 

 

 

Jaguars - Had thier moments of strength had thier weaknesses too.

 

 

 

Razors - Another pure kill em all pking group in the begining.

come on drave not mentioning bk?..Considering ive fought and seen fight all the clans on ur list I'd have to point out that the razors and the messiahs aren't really in the same class as the rest of the clans in ur list. The messiahs were just annoying [bleep]s and the razors weren't anything spectacular, they didn't really have significant staying power. The only thing special about those 2 clans is they were 2 of the first pking clans to die out within a short time period :P...theres no justification for putting the messiahs and razors over any clan like say exer, mi, or say tds other then the fact that they just happened to be in the very early periods of rs as opposed to later down the road.

 

 

 

(and ps..the sabres were plenty strong..creating a new char back then didnt really mean anything as we werent that high anyway..and alot of ppl thought it was cool to have the name of ur clan in ur char name and loyality/publicity was increased...the name thing has only been a problem from about the foundation of the wilderness on..when the sabres went downhill lol)

Chapter Two: The Golden Age of Clans

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Even as the Sabres and the Messiahs battled one another for supremacy, many other clans began to take shape. Although none of these newer, smaller clans could hold their own, a daring alliance of clans ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ banded together for their common good ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ could. The ANKA, or A New Kind of Alliance, was composed of the Red Cloak Clan, the Tsai Clan, and the BlacKnights Clan. For a while the ANKA and the Sabres/Messiahs were unaware that the other groups existed. During this emergence of new clans, the Messiahs began to try new and more devastating tactics to crush the Sabres one and for all. Messiahs would claim the Sabre name and pretend to be in their clan. While being Sabre imposters, they would randomly loot and kill, giving the impression that they were evil. Members of the ANKA were attacked by false Sabres, and thus the alliance tried to fight them. However, the alliance had no cohesion in engaging the Sabres, and thus the first alliance dissolved. In this time another clan emerged, the Gladiatorz. This clan is currently the longest running in Runescape history, never collapsing or dissolving for any periods of time. During an encounter with Ice Sabre, the leader of the Gladz declared war, and many skirmishes were fought in the castle of Varrock. Finally, after many duels, the leaders of the two clan became good friends, sparking the beginning of a long and powerful alliance between the Sabres and the Gladiatorz.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Shortly thereafter, a haughty clan known as "THE" Clan entered the lands of Runescape. According to their records, after a vicious war of attrition known as the "Cyberwars," THE Clan, under the leadership of Militant, routed the Sabre forces and thus the clan fled to Runescape. However, the Sabres claim the mighty god Andrew came to them in the Cyberwars and thus King Sabre decided to move his clan to Runescape out of their own free will. Regardless of which is true, Militant was oblivious to the long dead ANKA, and thus they claim to have established the first alliance. For quite some time, most clans were isolated and unaware that other clans were also attempting to fight the random player killers of Runescape. Then Clan Anfibian rose up, and Anfibian himself founded the Anti Sabre Alliance (ASA), founded on the notion that the fake Sabres represented the actions of the true clan. Many clans joined this organization, the most powerful being THE Clan and Anfibian Clan. Many skirmishes ensued, but it was then discovered that a small group of treacherous citizens of Runescape had pretended to be the Sabres. Thus to bring order to our noble land, the Sabre Reformation Treaty was drafted and signed, thus allowing for a clean order. The ASA renamed their alliance to EARTH, a very powerful alliance in its height.

The messiahs were just annoying * and the razors weren't anything spectacular, they didn't really have significant staying power. I highly disagree with you there Orb. Messiahs DOMINATED the sheep fields and scorp pit in the early days of RS. As far as the razors they were a force early on in wilderness as far as pking went. and if you didn't read all my post "May be more I have forgot since it has been a LONG time now. the only ppl the messiahs owned were younger players just starting out..they were no match for the forces that opposed them (sabres and the Nkka)

 

 

 

and u say bk "was good in their time, but never left a strong impression on u" I was never aware that bk's time had ended lol. So a clan that existed a few months until they were completally wiped off the face of rs made more of an impact on you then 1 of the 3 longest standing clans on rs (the others being Gladz..and 'the' although theres an arguement to be made about their standing in the transition from mili to cj). The clan that was responsible for the founding of the Syndicate and the Second Syndicate and a clan that has consistantly stood as one of the most powerful in rs (unlike rsd who comes in then fades out then comes back in :P).

Devils is hardly one of the greatest.Barely top 20.They came back and disbanded 2 or 3 times and lost just about all of their wars.

 

The Devils Clan was ranked in the top 5 for awhile in clan rankings because they pk'd a hell of alot. DI and Devils had a nice p2p wilderness rivalry. Of course Devils were usually on the losing end. :lol: But, it was still fun.

Who decides who meets those requirements? People will always have different opinions on which clan meet those requirements. Without people being in every single clan, people have bias opinions.

 

 

 

The clan community at times, take other peoples words as fact. "This clan sucks" etc. etc. It gets passed along to different players without them even knowing why they "suck". Maybe, the first person got pk'd by that clan and was just venting. But now, has turned into a gossip that that clan "sucks". Its happened and no doubtedly will happen again.

 

 

 

IMO, who cares who the greatest clan is. Find the clan that is the greatest to you no matter what other people say about it. Do your own homework and think for yourselves instead of listening to what people say.
