People who make alts to pretend to be new players and who subsequently beg for attention/money are annoying. You're totally new...by making a ranged pure with a full set of the best available armor/weapon/necklace at your level and have not trained anything besides ranged and hp.

I guess it makes them feel good about themselves. They're still annoying to me, though.

Yeah these newbs-in-disguise bug me too. It's not like it's even against the rules for them to transfer themselves money anymore, if that's what they wanted for their new account...

I agree, people asking for donations is disgusting when it's done because people just want the cash. I know some people who have had 9/10 of their bank donated to them, and they still act like they're a good player even though they take the free stuff all the time.

 

Sure, if you're going for 200m all, and people want to give you money to help you, that's fine, but not if you're just going to beg like a [bleep] for money, that's just wrong in my opinion.

I see someone has forgotten about the other word, "noob".  Such a difference in spelling identifies someone who's already been playing a while, but still commits actions which annoy other players instead of paving a better path for themselves and everyone around them.  Seriously, folks, there is a difference.  Please use the right spelling, because seeing such misuse actually makes some people (such as myself) feel like their brain is being raked like a nail on a chalkboard. :ugeek:

Sorry to call the grammar police on you Devnull, but actually 'newb' refers to a genuinely new player, and 'noob' to someone who has been playing a while and is just incompetent, or appears so. And in the OP was using the term 'newb' to refer to players on fresh accounts masquerading as genuinely new players who needed help, therefore, pretending to be newbs. At least, that's how I saw it...

Like chopping yew/magic trees and sell the logs for example.

 

That's not what I do since I don't attempt to make as much money as possible. But my point stands, there are better ways.

Beggars gonna beg. It's always been like this in Runescape, in the likes of which I have never before seen in any other MMO. 

No matter what lvl you were or when you started, newb was the chosen word for every PVP fight in the RSC wildy. :/
