melee

in the past 2 days ive found 20 rune scimmys, 6 half keys, 20k fire runes, 200 blood runes, 1k chaos runes, 5 rune squares and over 200 saphires, 100 emeralds, 50 rubies, and 1 diamond. oh and 2 dragonstones from crystal keys :P

made a pretty nice profit :S and got from 52-69 ranged in that time too

wow, how does melee have to do with ranging fire giants?

Lol!!! The most overlooked skill is farming!!!! :D

Fiemaking. I make a lot of cash hi alching the stuff from the mort'ton crypts, and getting Splitbark armour made from the Fine Cloth. It's good even at level 65 folmer_veeman, as I get level 3 clues frequently from silver keys/chests gotten from yew pyre logs. Note that this also gets you a lot of prayer xp, also somewhat overlooked as the protection prayers can help you survive longer in hazardous situations, and thus have a better chance of profit.

Lots of people are aware of farming being a good skill, just not willing to do the work.

i know your simplifying but everything doesnt need to be politically correct wen i kill things i tend to call it melee :?

It's not a matter of opinion (i.e. views), it's the definition of a word. Maybe you should get a dictionary and keep it next to your computer when you post. It might help your spelling skill too, get it into double digit levels perhaps.

I'd have to say herblore is the most overlooked. You can easily make millions... and millions... and millions, in a very short amount of time with that skill. People say it's expensive, but I'm not all that rich, and I have 84 herblore (yay, got it today). In fact, I'm able to actually break even most of the time and even sometimes, expand on my capital that I just recycle and reinvest into the skill. Not to mention that making potions is kind of cool to me. But yeah. It's a good skill. I wonder why most people don't do it more.

farming and runecrafting. Id ont know of any 2 other skills you can make such a return on your money. Essence are what 40 each now? you can sell natures and deaths for 300 each easy. Farming you can buy ranaar seeds for 18k each and get at least 5 herbs from each seed (avgeraged out) you make a 12k profit per seed.

firemaking

your DAM right. fm is so useless, too bad they cant make something Worth it.. it was

probably something they added in just for another skill :o!!!

they did finally make a good use for firemaking (pyres), but then mystic armor came out and it was useless again.

Wish i'd seen that coming, I would've stocked up on a few thousand of the oil things you needed to make the logs. That place is pretty good money and xp.

dude, that place, i go down their with like 50k, 300 yew logs later, full split +400k profit off stuff. that was like the last time i went, and the prayer exp is fairly good to.

firemaking i love firemaking

Overlooked as in having nothing of significant value is thieving, I am still waiting for something special for thieving to obtain.

the gems you can theive from the Rogue's Den at higher levels are amazing.

Is this better than the normal gem stalls? Do they regen faster? Is there more stalls at the Rogue's Den? I haven't even been there yet. What quest is that again?

A circus in Runescape?? Oh my.

REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! Be a nice player, and nice things will come back to you.

I'm back, add me if you deleted me. :)

i would say agility, because its mainly used too get to lvl 56 for regicide

there are 4 safes to crack, the things you get varies and if you fail a trap will spring and damage you. You only need to stand at one cause it starts over as you open it. Generally you will only get about 20 coins in most cases. your chances in getting gems are about on par with that of the shilo gem rocks.

I'd say runecrafting, too. Very good skill to raise.

fan of her's.
You know what I hate? People putting an apostrophe on a personal pronoun. STOP IT.

There's a chest that you use a stethoscope to figure out the combination. Occasionally you trigger a trap givingyou 2-8 damage. It's slow xp and you don't get a gem everytime, howver there is none of the "new" gems you get while gem mining. I don't think you can get dragonstones, but thats typical of every other place.

Most overlooked? Are you kidding? I use RC all the time for making money. My level in that skill is 59! If you want to talk about overlooked; farming is overlooked just because it is boring and most of its products useless. But, at level 32, you can grow ranarrs. If you have enough super compost, you can lay that in several herb patches and grow ranarrs in them. You don't really have to do anything from there, either. Just wait for it to get done growing; do whatever in between; RC, merchant, you name it, and when you come back, you will often have like 5-6 ranarrs per patch, up to like 8-9. Since Ranarrs are like 5-6k each, and the seeds are only like 10-15k, that's like a 40-50k profit per seed. Sometimes the herb will get diseased and die; but that's why you use supercompost, so that dosen't happen.

i know your simplifying but everything doesnt need to be politically correct wen i kill things i tend to call it melee :?

i dont see a point in that skill, i mean it has so called "uses" but...splitbark is the most useful related peice to the firemaking skill.

I think a lot of people consider firemaking lame... however i've been trying to increase mine so i can burn magic pyres. Shades are probably the best thing firemaking requires - can make 250k off 100 nats there easy.

I think a lot of people look at farming as a lame skill ... did wonders for my herblore though and many high level pots require farmed ingredients.

RC is a boring skill to train too... while I train many skils i have to admit most of them are quite boring to work up- most the time it's quite a bit of work rather than fun... and to be truthful many times i wonder why I keep logging back on - I think if it were not for Jagex constantly updating the game I would have cancelled my account a long time ago because even the combat system is mundane and child like.

Overlooked as in having nothing of significant value is thieving, I am still waiting for something special for thieving to obtain.

Thieving is overlooked but i do know some 80 level thieves who can haul off 180k of gp and goods in an hour.

Farming easily. If you don't agree with me, your overlooking its overlookness :o

(Ok that made no sence :P )

Lol...Runecrafting is NOT the most overlooked skill. It's highly coveted by most users, however, no one wants to do the work involved in training it.

I have over 1 million exp in Runecrafting, and I don't regret a minute of training it.

However, I DO think the most overlook skill is Theiving. Though it's not the BEST money maker, the gems you can theive from the Rogue's Den at higher levels are amazing. I theived gems from level 66 to 68 and got over 500...crafted them all, which got me to level 70 crafting. lol

I think runecrafting is over looked... however I too am over 70 rc and love every minute of it... mind if i steals your avatar?

Farming. It's a great skill, but unlikely combat and cooking, it needs a lot of attention. At high levels it can make other skills (like herblore) a lot easier.
