tyrcian
I was wondering, at the higher levels would it be quicker to train on an extremely low level monster such as a chicken where there are LOTS crammed into one area so you almost never stop fighting and you almost always get one hit kills or would it be faster to train on something more challenging that takes longer to kill (with the element of item drops aside of course) What do you think? Albosky
Higher hits with low defense , npcs like ogres , chickens are a bit extreme as you would spend all that extra time clicking for a maximum of 12 experience per hit :) I like to fart silently but deadly in movie theatersArd Choille says (11:41 PM):I wouldn't dare tell you what to do m'dear
tyrcian
but in the long run would it not be any faster?
swordwarior
i would so a good middle, something that your not standing around forever waiting to kill or taking to long to kill but something that gives good xp too
tyrcian
yeah on second thoughts, maybe this thought was just caused by killing too many experiments, "I was here first go over there" lol
Evrae
and it would have to drop stuff that is vaguely worthwhile. I like hill giants - decent enough exp, big bones, and you get quite a few runes off them I have to get practically naked when I'm cooking bacon.I may be immature, but that made me laugh! gonpost
Or, do you value money along with exp? For instance, green dragons. At 105 combat, and training on Defensive with the following bonuses: whip warrior helm amulet of power I get: 27,948 exp per hour 339,200 gp ... + or - 20k per hour (only counting bones/hides, no loot) That's not half bad in my opinion....I mean, I could get 50k exp per hour at dagganoths, but the money is too good here to pass up. Adam007
Quantity is important so you're never waiting for spawns. But if you're training on NPC's in high quantity, you have to make sure that you're not wasting hits. If you're hitting in the 10's and 20's on average, you don't want to be hitting things with 20-30 hp - some hits that would be high 20's can be wasted. Over the long run, that lowers your max xp per hour.
trunksrs
When treasure trails first came out, I was in the hi 70's and spending alot of time on the roof of varrock castle. I thought I was getting pretty decent exp there. Almost half of them i was 1 hitting (my max hit=their hp, and I guess I was just getting lucky with max hit frequency). The key to getting exp is doing max damage in min time. chessmastuh
I believe this is the essence of afking. Then again, afking IS illegal. Still, nice idea, but even though it works in theory, I doubt it works in practice. Stunning signature created by the one and only My Boggy. I mean, I station my 3-item AFKer at black knights in the Lava Maze.In wild, they auto-attack me. I pull out my laptop and play a a racing game. When the knights stop attacking me, I hop worlds. Good idea in case you're being hunted too. Anyway, I would say quantity.
