xpeimingx
Skip this if uninterested. Read this if you believe everything Jagex tells you. I've been playing RuneScape for 3 years... and have studied Java for 2 at school. A completely "random" event? Unlikely. Black marks associated with these events? Probably. I doubt Jagex likes to give unique clothes and valued objects to cheaters and scum. Therefore... Pretending to do repetitve tasks associated with random events?... If done in the extreme, such that more than a few hours of straight playing on the same world in the same place doing the same thing... Soo.. where did you get you're Drill Demon or Freaky Forester or Mime? I;ve seen some people wear the clothes, and i just really want to get them  On 12/10/07, Jagex emerged victorious from their war against the mechanical swarms of Real World Traders. But in the battle, we, the spectators, lost one of our closest friends... We will always remember you, Merchanting. May the question live on.
pro28
I got a mime fighting lessers on Karajama, some say that cooking in Al Kharid gives you a lot of randoms.
cottenkisses
i've gotten three frog events at karamja (in one week)
MrSScope
I had 3 frogs in 1 hour while ranging fire giants (I have 2 full sets and masks and 9 tokens...), 1 of my 2 drill demons too. The other demon while thieving in Ardougne. I got one mime while high alching in Edgeville bank and one while sorting my bank in Varrock. I had one freaky forester on f2p while fighting zombies in Varrock sewers and another one at the fire giants. That basically sums it up... 99 cooking / 99 magic / 99 ranged / 99 hitpoints / 99 herblore / 99 defence Quoted for truth, wisest thing I've heard anyone say on Runescape. Floda_Reltih
Play the game, dont type a thing for a while. This makes the system think you are autoing, so random events occur. You can do this while fishing, mining, and all other sorts of events. JUST DONT TYPE!

I;ve seen some people wear the clothes, and i just really want to get them  You keep spelling "your" wrong. :P "You're" is merely short for "you are" Anyway, I got my Drill Demon with my back turned to the computer... I was fighting trolls with a halberd and I turned my back after killing a troll for ONE SECOND and when I turned back, there was this orange demon guy with camo and a star amulet ordering me around! ----- My Mime was gotten after walking a few steps away from the duel arena bank. I just walked there to decide what Mage Training Arena thing I was gonig to do next, and I got completely distracted by the Mysterious Old Man saying "Ah, Spongehead91, you're required." and the next thing I saw was that I was on stage with a weirdo in a stripey shirt! ----- I was doing a clue scroll that a jelly dropped for me, and it led me into Isafdar. "There is no 'worthier' lord" it said. So, I went to Lord Iowerth and he gave me a puzzle box. I did the puzzle, finally, and he gave me anotehr clue. When I clicked on my Lletya crystal, instead of the crystal teleporting me to Lletya, the MNysterious Old Man said, "It's your lucky day, Spongehead91!" and then I was in the middle of nowhere on an office chair asking what the difference between a bass, trout and a battleaxe was by the Quizmaster. ----- No Freaky Foreesters yet, but I saw a guy in lederhosens take someone else away. "Ah, (player's name), just the person I need!" That guy was killing fire giants in the waterfall. He was burying a giant's bones at the time of Freaky Foretser. I have no Black Marks that I know of. I've stopped playing RuneScape. KoL's better.

xpeimingx
Hmm.. it all seems very variable in the times when you get a random event. viper_torch
well i believe nothing is really random. I believe in a programmed game there is a set number of things you have to do before youll get x item or whatever. In any case, i got a drill demon today mining rune, they're really just random in the sense that you get them doing anything
Lets_3ekout
fishing guild is the home of random events for me. but i guess that might be because of how much time i spend there  A Draconic Guide V1.4, Fimer - Multi-Timer Farming Timer V3.Dragon Boots: 39|Abyssal Whips: 16|Dark Bows: 1|
sheepdean
my best spot is killing the zammy guys in the chaos altar north of fally & goblin village. this place USED to be fullof auto'ers, and it appears jagex wanted to get rid of them. and port pharysmatis' furnace often has a strange fruit or 2 Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. la la la
I think, that with hundreds of thousands of people playing at a time, Jagex sets a random variable according to time and players, which changes every millisecond, so a random event can not ever be "mathematically" repeated due to ever-changing odds and chances of appearance. Death-bubble
i've gotten my 2 mimes on Karajama while killing lessers and i usually get frogs when i'm mining... Dazzuh
Fletching and High Alching seems to give me random events more often, also when clicking teleport they will often pop up Currently not active on RuneScape.
