If you use claws method, always recharge prayer first cuz ghasts rot your food.

re-read the bold bit

Round trip = full circle not 1 way

and besides I had forgot bout getting out of the tunnels

If your the type of barrower (as all my friends r) tht climbs out neway and does 3 or 4 runs per trip it make sense to use tht bank. If you tele out it also kind of does as it saves u taking food thru the swamps

The thing about using the new bank while staying at the Barrows is this....

When you're at the chest, you hit the tele button and make your way back.

When you're staying there and rebanking there, not only do you have to go around the Barrows entrance fence across the bridge, down through Mort'ton, jump over the fence, and then go back the same way, but you also have to run through the Barrows maze and find your ladder again.

If you have Ghosts Ahoy and Search of Myrique done, I think its gonna be faster timewise to tele out from the chest and run back using ecto vial.

And there is no altar at the new bank, and that nature altar is just too far away to save any time there, even with the shortcut.

Try it. Open the chest with 100% energy, and time yourself. See how fast it takes you to get back to the mounds with all methods. You'll find that tele'ing out to Lumby, recharging prayer, and ecto'ing with the boat ride is fastest. And most likely, you'll only lose one food item at the most.

A circus in Runescape?? Oh my.

I have yet to do the new quest, although if it seems a better way for me to do it i'll have to run back to the mounds. I'll try it a few times and see if it any quicker.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

- Do ~3 to 4 runs

- Tele to duel arena

- Heal up at nurses, recharge prayer

- Tele to Ecto / Canifis, depending on spell set

- Wade through the swamp, going back for more

Not going to use the new bank, due to not having an altar near and having to walk out of the crypts again.

Hmm. Although time-wise it'd be slower, you could do what AllBogs said but add a trip to the new bank to save yourself some food. Nice if you're using sharks or better and don't want that money to be wasted. (it's for the stingy ppl)

Am I the only one who take druid pouches when going from canifis on the Myresque shortcut?

I mean... I do herblore, I collect my mushrooms at the spot in western mort myre with 3 logs, 3 branches and 2 pear bushes. Mushrooms go to herblore, pears and budding branches to restock on druid pouches (and yeah, I do this every time a level 3 clue takes me into mort myre, in addition to when I specifically need mushrooms to make pots). So a big stack of druid pouches is sitting in bank, and on every Barrows run from Canifis I take 3-4, the ghasts take them instead of my sharks, when I arrive at mortton I drop them if I have any left. Works very well for me.

I assume the majority of people who do barrows may not collect their own mushrooms, and thereby dont have any spare druid pouches to use :?:

Anyways. Ectophial to Port Phasmatis. Replant sweetcorn and herb at allotment. Run to Canifis, restock in bank. Myreque shortcut to Barrows. 3-4 trips down into the tunnels. Tele to Lletya, recharge prayer, dump everything in bank, eventually withdraw new seeds if reasonable time passed since I planted last crop.

Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)

That is exactly what I do also! One inventory spot for a duel ring versus 3 spots for a Lumby teleport means I can carry more shark/tuna tater/pineapple pizza, which means I can squeeze out an extra run perhaps.

this way is the only way i can do it because i havent done the merque quests

Get stuff out of Canafis bank, 1 spot for druid pouches

Run through swamp, recharge pray at the nature altar

Get to barrows, kill all brothers and get 20-30 KC

open chest, curse my luck (never gotten anything better than a half key)

ecto out and repeat, stocking up after every run

Off Topic: after you open and search the chest and the roof starts to colapse, do you die and lose your stuff if you dont get to the ladder in time?

Hmm, kill the brothers for two or three chests and run to the new bank when everythings out and then back killing. I don't mind going to recharge on any altars... Did yesterday about 30 chests with kill count average 15 and got nothing, exept on the last trip I got frustrated and made the kill count somewhere 40+ and got d med. Lol.

I just bring a lot of supplies (50+ Prayer pots, lobbies, etc), use the general store at Mor'ton, and do 30+ trips before banking 8) .

by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.]

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

The duel arena method works good for me too, an altar and free healing. Sadly never have had anything good yet....

Nope. You're not. I always take a Druid's pouch whenever I'll be going into the Mort Myre. I even stock up whenever I'm nearby. Currently have over 120 things in the pouch. Most people don't take a druid's pouch. I don't see why. It's one space. I usually get hit twice even when taking the Myreque short cut so that's one food item saved.

The general store trick is the most efficient method IMO. The new bank...well I still believe the general store is the way to go. It may takeup some inventory slots for the noted stuff and costs some gold but I believe it's still better.

If you are going in a populated world because you want company etc then I think the bank is the way to go, no general store robbers.

My barrow route:

1. Do the barrow runs.

2. When out of supplies, refresh them at the Mort'on general store.

3. If an item is obtained from the chest: If done the new quest, bank at the bank to the south. If not, teleport to Duel Arena and recharge your prayer.

4. If done Desert Treasure, do the Canifis pub teleport. If not, use the Ectophial. Then and take the myreque passage back to the barrows and start again. If you want to, only bring noted food through the myreque passage. The ghasts may get your food and turn it rotten. You can then use the general store to morph your noted food to normal food.
