About five years ago, on Arpil 6th I think, Asgarnia was released, along with 4 new quests. Before that, there was a gate blocking the area, with an examine message saying "kingdom of Asgarnia - coming soon!"

 

 

 

Back then, everyone would speculate what Asgarnia would be like. Ahh, I miss those days so much...

Hehe, it sort of is, with Falador being similar to an old fashioned fort or castle, and the White Knights Castle inside is similar to what would be called a Keep. Then you've got all the shops inside the castle walls too :)

Five years ago! Time goes fast! I wasn't playing RuneScape at that moment, but i do remember some other "brand new" releases.

I remember the evening it was released. I was in irc and everyone was so excited by it! Ah good days.

i started playing the day after the release... i heard everyone saying things like: im going to check out the new area... have you been there yet?

But besides that, in another year or two you (being the players of today) will be saying "Gee wilikers I remember back when Ardougne was released so many years ago" (I actually do remember when Ardougne was released with the Paintball gun dock). It can be an anchor in a swirling sea of time.

Well fortunately for you, you're living in a golden age of Runescape. Better and better things are being developed for the game, it's at it's highest ever player amounts and Jagex is very well off so they have no sign of stopping Runescape.

 

 

 

Many would also say that RSC in it's early years were the golden years but it was probably more so a stronger community because of the few number of people that would play as well as not everyone is looking for a 2D game so these people had much in common (in terms of taste in games).

5 years ago...thats really long, i remember i was playing final fantasy games, beat them all...I glad i play runescape right now such a perfect moments, only play runescape for 5 months compare to 5 years. I can be like zezima, old nite or novalyfe or i can actually plays that long. Or maybe i can even beat them. Well it is called destiny and fate, now i am here, im going for the best. anyways nice thread. :)
