April 13, 200620 yr I really doubt that they will. jagex has made many of the quests based on for humans to do. to do this it would mean not having any updates for ages because it will be nearly as big created rs2 created all the armour and stuff like that for all the new race would take ages.
April 13, 200620 yr Having different races certainly would be interesting and add a little more individualty, but, as already said, it would basically be creating an RS3 as it would take a lot of time. Though, although it could be done and to a satisfactory degree, I don't think it would be worth the time as I feel the game is fine the way it is now.

April 13, 200620 yr he means that you could play as, instead of a human. although there are already elves, gnomes, dwarves etc u can't control them. interesting idea, alot of work though, i'm happy being a happy "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"

April 13, 200620 yr maybe yall have not heard but there is a romur going around that says that jagex is coming out with a new game * there is already a post about it somehwere* the game might include races -no longer playing runescape, I have moved on to play world of warcraft. But I love the community of the forums so I plan to stay here.

April 13, 200620 yr I can see this as a possibility in RS3 (if there is one in the making), but not any earlier. That would require way too much modification to an already well-balanced game. Instead of modding RS2 to no end, why not just incorporate it into a new game, whether it be a 'threequel' or a brand new game. -Zach

April 14, 200620 yr I think it's a good idea, but I don't think it will happen. Just they way races are set up now, it wouldn't be possible. The game would have to change way too much, and it wouldn't be the same. I think that humans will be the only ones walking freely around Runescape for quite some time. Although I do think that a massive RS3 update (namely giving it competitive graphics and combat system) is going to be made by 2008-2010. If it lasts that long.
