April 23, 200620 yr Italy is [bleep]ing awesome.. I was there this time last year, weather is starting to get good there now, make sure you visit Rome and Lake Garda!
April 23, 200620 yr Best of luck in your endeavors. My sister was diagnosed with insulin-dependent diabetes 15-16 years ago. It's not easy to live with, it seems, even if you have insurance to cover it. Her blood sugars are frequently high, and I worry she'll face complications in the future.
April 23, 200620 yr Wow... I really... Really don't like the sound of Diabetes. I never thought it sounded too bad, but after that it seems horrible. It's great what you're doing to help those, and to anyone else who has any kind of serious disease/illness, I feel really sorry for you. Good luck Bari and Luca.
April 23, 200620 yr Author Thanks for all the comments people ;) I really love them all! Well although I really don't like having diabetes (i [bleep]ing hate it lol), If I didn't have this disease many, and I mean many kids in my countries would be living hells. So in a way I feel gifted. Thanks a lot to all of my friends for visiting my post and all the fellow tipiters I love you all :D Tip.It Rocks! PS: Goku, this time I won't be visiting Rome since all the other times I've been to Italy I've been to Rome so instead I'm doing the extra days in Barcelona  I SURVIVED THE 111 BUG If a turtle doesnt have a shell, is it naked or homeless ?
April 24, 200620 yr I am diabetic too. I am 14 years old and got diagnosed with type 1 only 4 months ago. Seems like such a long time.... Anyway, I now know firsthand what it is like. I had a grandad who had it as well. He got it when he was 26 and died a few years ago at 65. So luckily my mum knew the symptoms and took me into the doctors to check me out. Diabetes has changed my life. I now have to check my blood-sugar every meal or when i exercise. Also I have to inject myself whenever I eat. I dont care about it anymore. It only hurts for 10 seconds or less. Like what happens when your blood sugar gets to low? How do you tell? Everybody experinces it differently. I feel dizzy and like i am going to faint, extremely tired, and i need to sit down. I live in the US and our insurance pays for almost everything. Thank-you lucas for everything that you are doing. Have fun in Italy! :D
April 24, 200620 yr What you are doing luca is really awesome, my little sister, (who is 14) has diabetes, and it really stinks for her. It makes it harder to do sports because you have to make sure you are monitoring your sugars. She also has to be very careful what she eats. As a side effect heer immune system is deficient so she get sick much more frequently then most people. I really feel for her and anyone else who has diabetes. It is really great to see that you care so much. Hope you have tons of fun in Italy. Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.
April 25, 200620 yr Author To those of you, newhere between 5-18 years old with diabetes please pm me I have something for you ;) I SURVIVED THE 111 BUG If a turtle doesnt have a shell, is it naked or homeless ?
April 25, 200620 yr my grandfather has diabeties (sp?) and my uncle has hypoglycemia (which is kinda the opposite but not exactly, its kinda hard to explain) (\/) 42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.(O.o) cabbage rools(><) my sig is cool, if you agree put this in your sig. *is too lazy to animate*^the bunny is back! yay!
April 25, 200620 yr It's great what your doing for all those kids and congrats on going to Italy. I would always get angry when i get sick with a cold, flu, fever, etc. But now after reading your thread I feel very thankful to God for never having anything serious. And the problem from where your from is kind of like where I'm from , Iraq. Ever since the Americans came to Iraq ( not saying its a bad thing) the people who need special help are unable to get that help. The main hospital in Baghdad, Iraq is an excellent hospital with over 500 beds and 60 doctors. Now well the whole hospital is destroyed and the other hospital has below 30 beds and 3 doctors. Iraqi people aren't only dying from suicide bombers but from unable to get help. I have already lost both my grandfathers, my cousin, and my uncle in Iraq. They were unable to leave the country because of how dangerous it is to even leave your house. Overall, in many places there is the same problem. By the way, I dont live in Iraq
