This is an idea for making swords with magic powers.

 

 

 

First take any gem and use it on an anvil to smash it.

 

 

 

Then take the smashed gem to a furnace and melt it into a sword mold.

 

 

 

Then enchant it with the jewlery enchant spells.

 

 

 

Sapphire sword = sword of water

 

Emerald sword = sword of earth

 

Ruby sword = sword of fire

 

Diamond sword = sword of air

 

 

 

They could be used in melee combat, but could also be used to cast spells of the specific element. (albeit with more runes than usual)

 

 

 

They would of course need really high lvls to make.

good idea, but i just have a quick comment. HOw would a smashed gem turn into a sword...no handle thing? How about smashed gem + elemental bar from elemental workshop. then used smashed gem + elemental bar on furnace with the mould. Untradable, you'd have to work on stats, probably give it a nice prayer bonus....unlimited supply of maybe....

if its the last one then it could be that the attack bonus is good only against those mages who're using spells the same type as your sword, like if some mage is autocasting wind strike so the air sword does bonus damage. then the name air/earth/fire/water sword might not be useless

i think they need to have the elements more like, well, elements.if its a fire attack, small sustained damage.earth attack, lessened def(nonconsecutive).wind attack, chance of knockback.water attack, chance of freezing target for 2 secs with very small sustained damage.also make em give def & att bonuses when usin that element

This sounds like a great idea, smashing a gem and combing it with an elemental bar would be great, + each sword having a differant special attack allowing it to be used for differant things. Untradble would be great meaning when you saw someone with an elemental sword you knew they have worked for it.

Sounds like a good idea and rebel's comment about a lightsaber would just be awesome.
