looking good, as has been said, the darker one looks better, remember where he was from, gakllalie, thats in the middle east ish area, so he would have had nataraly dark skin. personaly id prefered to have seen it done in pixel, but your brush work looks good. with the chest the nipples look a little high in my opinion (dont be imature people) and the ribs could go a bit lower aswell. when you change the nail positions, you may want to change the cross a bit, so the nails are driven through the ankle into the center of the wood, since its still linework, that shouldnt be to dificult. looking great otherwise, keep it up!

It doesnt matter if you stay in the sun or not, if your arab, you have olive dark skin. And judging from the region where Jesus was born, there is a high possibility that Jesus was dark.

 

 

 

Any historian would agree that the white Jesus protrayed by the media is just an adopted look of how Jesus looked like.

 

 

 

Its very similar to when the Buddhist Religion was spreading through oriental regions. All of the sudden Siddhartha had more oriental features, even though he was from, what is now called, Nepal.

I repositioned the cross, the nails in the wrists and ankles, I changed the colour of the wreathe around his neck, so it looks more like thorns, I havnt gotten to teh stage of adding blood yet. Any more CC is welcome.

Didn't crosses have support things for feet so they suffered more? :? (don't know and to lazy to search, but remember seeing it in movies)

Another update. Im not to sure if I like how the background is going, or if I should just leave it so that the picture is Just of Jesus on the cross, Maybe with a simple cloud background made in PS. ideas are welcome.. still a major WIP

I preferred it without background. Nice work, still some flaws, but as it is WIP I won't go into that.

Er I don't really like the nails IMO, it doesn't look like a real nail, in fact it just look like a black dot. :? You might wanna correct me if I'm wrong, (I looked from quite a distance in the late night). Hehe.

 

 

 

And er, how about some duller background? The cross also looked quite out of length (the side way), I mean in my angle, it look like the left side of the cross is longer den the right side.

I thought you may like to know that they have a little triangle at the bottom of people's feet. Otherwise people's arms would rip off (its a tested physical princible) and...That wouldnt be good for cruel tortuterors (faster death) :? :shock:

 

 

 

 

 

As for me, i dont want to get much into this, but it proves a point; I'm not exactly a total atheist, if i do beleive in god i believe in god not some silly church structure, but i nevertheless acknowledge this as being a work of art!!! Very nice job, sir.
