Indeed, but I'd rather have a well produced album than summit sloppy recorded in someones garage (if this is what you meant bout the producing?).

 

 

 

Isn't screaming music supposed to be "grungy" anyways? There's a pont in the recording process where you have to descide... "Do we want to make music the way we are or should we conform and be famous?"

Their first album Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses isn't much differently produced from their new one. I can't really tell if it has changed at all. They're not really meant to be "grungy", we're in 2006, we expect albums to be clear nowdays so you can actually hear what they're playing.

 

 

 

I never watch MTV, but on the rare occasions that I do, I've never seen Atreyu on. I watch this so-called 'rock' channel called Scuzz and they're rarely on that either. Maybe it's different in the US? Even if they were on MTV I still wouldn't hate them cos of it, they still write the same music that I like whether they're more famous with posers are not.

I still think The Curse is their best CD. With songs like Bleeding Mascara, This Flesh A Tomb, The Remembrance Ballad, Demonology And Heartache and Nevada's Grace.. and the obvious favourites Right Side Of The Bed and The Crimson. But they haven't wrote a song better than Lip Gloss And Black.

 

 

 

i will agree with you on all of those songs, they freaking own, i've seen them 4 times in concert so far, but i believe bleeding mascara is their best song, but the only reason i say that is because thats always their opening song, and im always in the moshpit during that song. :lol:

If you see ANY of his interviews you would know that his Antichrist stuff is pretty much just a marketing ploy, and he says it "Works very well, as you can see". MM is incredibly incredibly catchy, before you hate him all of you should check out "This is the new S**t", "Fight Song", "Mobscene", "The Beautiful People", "Rock is Dead", and "1996".

 

 

 

Not to mention he has redone many songs that are just really awesome like "Sweet Dreams", "Highway to Hell", and "Another Brick in the Wall". I hate it when people just think the entire band is metal, when MM does not do ONE METAL SONG AT ALL. He is complely ROCK, not METAL. There is no metal guitar, there is no metal screaming, there is no emo-ness, MM is just overall a really good band and I'm simply fed up with people giving him idotic remarks just because he's goth.
