RC Pkers - Who, What, Where, Why, How?

I've been RC'ing quite a bit recently, and for the most part, it's going great. In fact, I just got to the bench-mark of 10,000 nats. HOWEVER, whilst RC'ing these nature runes, I was pk-ed twice. I don't care about the glory- but the pouches are a PAIN. By nature, I am not a vengeful person, hell- even these kids deserve a little respect. So I have made this thread to help everyone better understand the inner-workings of RC pkers.

 

 

 

Who?

 

 

 

RC Pkers are all around us. Could be a distant friend, a good friend, or someone you met once. Hell, I'd go as far to say as a decent percent of people here have RC pked. My point being, it's not just the "pathetic people", or the "noobs". I have heard a few players I consider to be very smart to have called these people profit pkers.

 

 

 

What?

 

 

 

RC Pking is the process of... Well- PK'ing rcers! In case you don't understand how this works, look under the RC'ing guide to the abyss... rcers must travel through the wilderness. In this time, the RC pkers generally freeze/entangle the rcer and dds special (it's generally over by the last special).

 

 

 

Where?

 

 

 

The Abyss! Duh... (more information under the guide).

 

 

 

Why?

 

 

 

The only section you need to read. Very disturbingly, I found the answer when I went back to "speak" with my rc pker. When asked, why... He simply responded,"because it's fun". Now here's your chance to tell me I'm in the wrong. I ranted for about 10 minutes beginning with "It's FUN?!" And ended with something like "Now you go think about this." In my opinion, the RC pkers are SCUM. Scum scum scum scum, filthy dirty scum. But hey, that's just me.

 

 

 

On another note, I was helped out by a level-82 earlier, and rewarded him with a glory. I have no problem handing a few out, in fact I'm a little over 2-loads in recharging them. But the pouches! What a pain!

 

 

 

How?

 

 

 

Well, RC Pkers are DEFENSELESS. So we strap D'hide (sometimes), so what? We don't have weapons, we don't have food, and if we do, we're not looking for a fight. This brings up another question, are they real pkers? Could they hold their own against other pkers? Another question, do you go back to revenge yourself? If so, what do you do? What do THEY do? (Forgot to add this section, but it's not important!)

 

 

 

So what do YOU think? RC Pker- Scum or Joe?

Can't tell you the amount of times I died trying to runecraft. It is getting harder to runecraft now with the sudden change to pure rune ess :cry: :(

I still don't understand Abyss PKers....

 

 

 

They kill their prey for a measly ~60k each (a glory - the rune costs for the person and people they miss). By killing each person they force them to go spend up to about 30 minutes getting their pouches back. It's just cruel :cry:

If you know what you are doing abyss pkers don't pose any risk. Many people do it because, lets face it, who doesn't like free glories. Some RCers will abyss pk to get their glories back. Kind of hypocritical. I just see it as a way for people with no skill to make 80k every 45 minutes.

NOTE- I just found (in the abyss) 1246 noted pure essence, 28k cash, and a glory.

 

 

 

The 92 came back, and I promptly returned all of his stuff.

 

 

 

Just as earlier, I awarded a kind level 82 a glory for bringing me teleport runes at the nature altar.

I needed about 5k more pure ess to reach my goal for nature runes. I just found 16k pure ess sitting in the wild. I didn't bother sticking around for whomever lost them to return. :D

That's why I've given up RCing without teles. Don't give about losing glory, but I don't want to waste another hour killing abysses for pouches.

I agree with everything said on this thread, they are scum BUT they don't impose a problem if you know what you are doing. 2 of an Abyssal Pker's worst enemies are rings of life and 1-click teles. i prefer to use them both. I am experimenting with that ancient tele to edgy dungeon but i am thinking that in the long run, glories are cheaper.

Oh, a quick story about me at the abyss once.

 

 

 

I'd never had it done to me, but I was in full black d hide and I still got frozen, tb'd, and poisoned, but still managed to get into the abyss! I ran through, got to the nat alter and yelled out to my fellow RC'ers that there was a free glory coming :P . I died, the pk'ers got nothing... and I learned that logging out, then in would have solved the tb and I could have gloried to the bank and have kept the glory and pouches and all :wink:

Many have tried but all have failed to pk me whilst Rcing. I've even seen the hilarious scenario of a double team on me with a freeze fail. They are NOOBS, nothing more. If they can't kill a stationary target that has no food weapons armor, then they should just hold a drop party and retire.

I bet there'd be a fair number of glories... I would attend, take the glories, and redistribute them to all the RCers (like the easter bunny?).

We can take revenge, sometimes I go and 1 item RC pkers for an hour or so.

 

I just take a crystal bow and keep coming back for more.

 

If it is a busy server ill teleblock em first, then losen the crystal bow on long distance. It makes a pker nervous, I promise every PKer who gets me runecrafting that I will haunt them as much as possible.

 

I will go bank when I see em in wild and 1 item them till they leave wild or world.

 

One of the reason I stay lvl 90 is those RC pkers.

 

They do not really like a vengefull lvl 90 with 80 range and 94 mage, who has nothing to lose.

I was RCing with my neighbor, Water_Shadow, in the abyss. A level 91 in black d'hide legs, black mystic top, zammy book, and whip comes outta nowhere looking for trouble. My friend and I teled, but as we did, he proclaimed us "tele noobs". Water_Shadow returned, with his 94 mage and 95 range, about three minutes later to find this unfortunate hunter-turned-hunted still there. Needless to say, a quick Ice Barrage, Blood Barrage, and Mage Short Spec KOed him. So, Water came out of this a whip richer, and I got quite a kick outta it. Karma, baby. Gotta love it.

I always run out into the wild with full karil, whip and crystal bow to see if any are there before I start abyss crafting and I kick their [wagon]. Same goes for whenever one of these noobs attacks me or kills me while rcing, I run back as fast as possible with full gear, and alot of the time they're no where to be seen or they run away...scared little losers.

I find this pretty stupid. Just another thread in the long line of people complaining that things should be easier/less annoying for them. Honestly, if abyss PKers didn't exist, the abyss would be completely broken as a way to make money.

 

 

 

If you're really that upset about them, why not start an abyss PKer hunters clan? And once every few days world hop at edgeville and slaughter them all? Much more effective and fun than complaining about them here, no? :wink:

Love this topic... I was rc on world 41 last night and a level 123 pked me :shock: ,, I mean come on a level 123, killing someone with no armour on and a measly glory for the kill...Pffttt... I find that very noobish and I don't use that word very often . I am level 120 she froze me and took her forever to kill me.,, I couldn't help but laugh at her and call her a noob... I stayed there just so I could laugh at her,, told her umm don't you think you should be in like level 45 wild or something.. I understand it is the wild, but honestly I can think of better things to do with my time then kill for one lousy glory. btw the pouches was a huge pain to get back, such a waste of time I could have gotten one level in the time it took me to get those dang pouches all back,,, :evil:

That why i love using the Paddewa Teleport(edgeville). Brings u close to edgeville and only costs 2 laws, 1 air, and 1 fire rune. cheaper then losing a glory. It does take up 3 spaces but i take the risk. When i die they never get more then 10 law runes . They end up wasting more moeny on runes to kill me then making.

I think it would only be a broken method of making money for those pkers killing runecrafters for their glories.

 

 

 

However I can kinda see your point, if their wasnt pkers at the abyss then the prices would go down to a degree, and therefore it would be the same work for less money, so I think that even though abyss pkers are low-life pkers, they are a necessary evil we need to learn to live with, or kill, if that takes your fancy :lol:
