There's no reason for anyone to be a jerk, particularly while pking RCers. What I would really like to see is people have some respect, even if they just killed you. But that's a rant about the RS community in general, not just pkers or abyss pkers :wink:

 

 

 

Regarding the pouches, I want every abyss RCer that gets killed to have to spend hours getting their pouches back. Not out of sadism or anything like that, but because you have been given a ridiculously easy way to make a ton of money in a relatively short period of time. RC pkers are necessary to keep balance in the game and make sure that runecrafters aren't just given what would practically be a license to print money.

 

 

 

Having been killed on the way to the abyss, I know how annoying it is. Having killed others on the way to the abyss, I can tell you, it's not that easy. Smart RCers should be able to get away from any pker. Most can't TB you, so an ectophial or elf crystal is a must. The ones who can will TB you first, giving you enough time to get to into the abyss before being entangled 99% of the time. Some can TB you, but will entangle you first. You'll be gone long before they get a chance to TB you. And hell, if you angle your screen right and can see the TB coming, you can tele before the TB takes effect. The ones who think they're smart trying to ancient you aren't as bright as they think - without TB, they have no way of killing you.

 

 

 

IMO, people who die to abyss PKers are either incredibly unlucky, or idiots - and usually the latter. One guy I killed while PKing there got by me twice before I finally got him the third time, and he was wearing full rune at the time and didn't try to tele once even though I couldn't TB him. I mean, give me a break. As soon as you see a spell headed toward you - click! teleport away, and it'll work even if the spell is a TB.

 

 

 

So if they annoy you, form a hunting party to kill them all. Give them their just rewards, but complaining about them is lame.

Meh, I probably cost more rc pkers in spells they use on me than the money they earn from my glory if they even manage to kill me, which I've only died twice from level 54-58 rc.

You call this a sport,, a sport is when the other person can fight you back. Attacking someone with no armour on or weapon is well you know totally noobish,, and a level 123 doing it makes me sick... I support RC Pking because people who RC in the abyss should have to face some dangerous obstacle. PKers who teleblock, entangle, freeze, dagger and so on are perfect threats.

 

 

 

Considering someone with 91 RC makes 600k+ an hour via abyss easily. In light of this, Runescape's "Risk vs Reward" seems in place here.

Never a boring thread where Rc Pkers are concerned. People always love to throw out the "Rc Pkers are necessary or people could make tons of money too quickly" or "if Rc Pkers weren't there the price of nats would drop". I honestly preferred the much higher nat price before the abyss came out. The walk was nothing so bad. The unfortunate part is that now with the abyss (and consequently lower nature prices) going back to that old way is really cutting off your own nose to spite your face.

 

 

 

More on topic, I've yet to be killed while Abby Rcing. I've come close only 3 times and those 3 people are the only ones of the lot that I truly thought had any pking talent. I can respect their pking talent, just not their outlet for it. The rest were just wasting their time and better yet their runes.

ok and in deep wildy u always try to find person who has armor that you would liek fight against. yes. thast why we have triangle. point is that RCers has no chances to defend them, no food, no WEAPONS just few pouches and ess. don't call it fair fight. every abbys pker has inventory set up for pking and when they run away because other pker comes to hunt them in "fair" fight, they run away like cowards.

I think bothersome is about all rc pkers are. There's plenty of ways to avoid them, fighting skellys on the way, carrying 1 click tele and if TB'd before you get a chance to tele simply run. Changing your route to the mage regularly to keep them guessing etc.

 

 

 

If it does look like you're going to die, drop your pouches. If you panic and forget or just aren't quick enough, regaining pouches really shouldn't take an hour or so though :?: getting small pouch back from the dark mage not only saves having to get an extra pouch dropped, but also seems to speed up the drop rates of the other pouches.

 

 

 

If I'm repeatedly attacked by the same pker or I get killed by one, I get armed and go hunt remorselessly, to me all normal rules are out at that point though. If I feel like it I'll one item, tele away, pray if necessary and just keep coming back until they get bored. I'm not looking for a free lunch as an earlier poster suggested, I have no expectation of making a kill as I can't TB myself (only 80 mage :oops: ) and 99.9% of RC pkers will tele away when in danger. I'm simply doing to them what they do to me - being annoying :lol:

People fight in world of warcraft for no reward. PVP outside instances gets you NOTHING and people still do it on large scales just for fun.

So you can see why people are exstatic at the idea of getting your glory which actually can buy them a few runes in addition to replacing what they used and let them practice their pking skills.

 

 

 

FYI there was a time in RSC when the biggest pkers had around 20-40 million gold when the most expensive item they could ever pk was worth around 100k...They never stopped fighting ;) Think about it

I think rc pking is lame but only because of the meager profit and that some rc pkers themselves are lame. The pk is usually small and the kills are hard if their target has a lick of intelligence or luck. This is not a "smart" way to spend your time. I think that the best rc pker would be able to pull in no more than 200k an hour, which is pretty shabby and only possible with a ton of world hopping and patience. Since they are obviously not there for the huge amounts of cash that is rolling in they are there for another reason: fun.

 

Some people enjoy killing others regardless of the profit or loss per kill. These people I have no problem with personally (see Castle Wars) and enjoy doing this very same thing in other games (DOD etc.) I would think that most people don't have a problem with that concept.

 

The part that offends people is the fact that the kill gains the pker MUCH less than it costs the pkee. Woot, glory vs. Great, 2-3 pouches to reaquire. Because of this unbalance most pkees think of the pker in this situation as cruel. In most cases they are simply out for fun and possibly a little profit with nearly zero risk and give little to no thought of the cost that they are making their pkees pay. They simply just don't think about it, are callous and don't care, and/or enjoy the fact that they are causing all of that "pain".

 

I would expect rc pkers to allow the pkees to return and collect their pouches unchallenged since this means that they have another chance at a glory. The problem is some rc pkers are total scum and ENJOY that they just made the game that much harder for another person and will go to every extent possible to keep those pouches out of the pkees hands. They LIKE that their kill has to spend 30+ minutes killing monsters for horrible xp and pouches. These people are the ones that I despise and are the ones that most people refer to when they speak of "lame rc pkers". I agree that they should go back to feeding birds ex-lax.

 

 

 

With all that being said I think that most rc pkers are lame because they waste their time for little profit and cause unintended hardship on others. Max profit or xp is what I find fun in this game and if I want to kill others I choose another game or go someplace where their is some ACTUAL profit.

 

The cruel ones are the ones that I hate because they enjoy the suffering of others which is just wrong on every level.

It's not like most rc pkers sit and say owned lol when they do sixty points of damage on me before I get to the abyss.. It's also unlikely a RC pker will want to stick around if a person comes out in full blackhide and starts shooting. This is the case whether you are in 5 wild or 25 wild.

 

 

 

I went out to the RC area in full rune/obsidian, and told the mages to lay off me for a moment, I wanted to attack whoever came back as a ranger. There were three that did this. Two ran from me when I attacked them, one teled on sight.

 

 

 

So what I wonder is how you define weak. I mean if you're within 5 levels of your opponent, you are at least somewhere near them on the combat scale.

I have no problem with rc pker.

 

 

 

1) My cb is 121, so les problem of being attacked.

 

2) take always 1 prayer pot

 

3) i dont wear anything, just my glory and a bronze pick (so they have no incentive to attack me

 

3) when attcked, drink prayer, protect item(that will be glory) and drop pouches (attention drop option is on the bottom not on the upside of the scroll)

 

4)when dead, tele to lumby and pack pouches.

 

 

 

5) then i put taht back to bank, take a weapon , and start 1iteming them, until they change world. usually, they try once, never twice

 

 

 

I have done 100k death, 10k nats and 20k laws and died only 5times thanks to that. By the way i am still selling 15k laws, 40k death and 10k nats :roll:

i used to rc pk :oops: then i began rcing myself and noticed how much of a pain they were and quit rc pking. :)

Elf Crystal is better. If you die with Ectophial, you have to go all that way just to get it back.
