Italian5kamikaze
well i put some thought into it and if there was no high alc the only gold you could get is through monster drops.Even the highest lvl monster doesnt drop much and think about it theres billions and billions of gp out there and almost all of that came from high alcing...i mean sure you can pick up small amounts of gp off the ground from monster drops selling things to the general store and doing barrows but that isnt very much. so what do you think runescape would be like with no high alcing...i think prices on armors rares and everything would be way lower although ppl would have way less money. So what do you think runescape would be like without high alc? are you serious.... i get more gp per hour killing kq, or merchanting then alching, how can you say the economy would fall. heh. theres billions of ways 2 make money/.. just not through fletching anymore! no big deal hmm look at what spuriousmonkey said..thats what im talking about..sure you can get a d chain from kq but without any gp how would someone buy it from you.. Quit. PM me if you play The Conduit to exchange friend codes.
attackyomom
youd would see items trading for items like what gonzlar said cuz i used to play diablo got bored cuz it never updates i started playin in 2000 hasnt changed really since except like rs it jus has tons of inflation but would be good for the economy it would be like i havent played rsc but from what ive heard ppl would trade tons of raw materials for items so i think it would be good in that way and for mage xp... kill things with mage still good xp dont need high alc for xp
Unitedite
what do you think runescape would be like without high alc? Better. Disagreed In a little hilltop village they gambled for my clothesI bargained for salvation and they gave me a lethal doseI offered up my innocence, I got repaid with scorn"Come in'', she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm"
Samittaja
Like rsc, therefor better  (in rsc there weren't to many people alching and that's 1 reason party hats stayed pretty low there.)
tyluke
if there was no high alchemy people would use low alchemy  :!: only 2 skills below level 50 :)
dogfever
if there was no high alchemy people would use low alchemy  :!: lol Anyways, without alching the gp inflation which RS suffers from would be knocked on the head almost instantly. I can't think of a larger source of gp than high-alch, arguably removing high alch would push the economy towards deflation (not really a good thing either). However, proper analysis would require masses of data which JaGex probably aren't about to release to the likes of you or me :) df

malo2
If there wasn't High alching, maybe the economy wouldn't be about to blow up in our faces? (If you don't know what inflation is, don't bother replying to my post) there would be no economy without hi-alching. Lastfm
Italian5kamikaze
lol i dont think there would be either..and to the person who said items would be traded for other items...that might work...but what happens when you want to buy a few hundred rannars...you have some stuff to trade for them but the person who has the rannars doesnt want those items...it could take days to make a simple trade... :? Rebdragon
If there wasn't High alching, maybe the economy wouldn't be about to blow up in our faces? (If you don't know what inflation is, don't bother replying to my post) there would be no economy without hi-alching. Possibly, I have no idea how much taking out High Alchemy would affect deflation (as there are many other sources of imported cash, pest control, barrows, selling items to stores, monster drops, etc), all I know is that inflation is going to become a problem pretty soon :? . So, we cannot be fully certain how much High-Alchemy has affected the economy. All we know is that it is the main source of inflation. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. spuriousmonkey
There is no inflation except for the rares. The rest actually is stablel or deflating.
malo2
there are far better ways of degrading inflation than hi alching. Jagex has introduced some very good ways recently, as more and mroe people start alching. One of the best is repairing barrow items, also everytime new dragon items are sold in stores (like skimmy), alot of people buy them instantly and alot is drained. Also recipy for disaster has decreased inflation very well with the new metal gauntlets, and other cooking utensils. Things like theese have to be introduced more, when gold value begins to drop more, there are many more ways, toll gates, ect.. The karamja dungeon brought alot of deflation, with its 760gp entrance fee. Lastfm
