Where does it come from?

Featured Replies

As a noob i never really cared. But as a Level 74 the question strikes me. Where does all of runescape's money supplies come from?

Now sure you might say oh i get my money from other players by buying/selling etc. But wonder where those players got their money from? and where the players got theirs from and etc until it all finally stops where is the source to all this money?

Either someone gives me a straight answer that makes sense or i am conducting research with someone else.

world2isntthathardby4.pngI think merchanting is extinct....

Barrows Drops: Dh platelegs, Guth helm, Karils cb, Torags legs

The obvious answer is high alchemy. That is where most of the money comes from, just thing 1000 high alchs on yew longs and magically you have 768,000gps.

Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.

But that's nothing compared to hi-alching.

Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either

a fool or a coward.

Whoever cannot take care of himself without that law

is both.

For a wounded man shall say to his assailant:

"If I live, I will kill you, If I Die, you are forgiven."

Such is the Rule of Honor.

The majority is obviously Hi-alch, but in my arbitrary list, here are some other ways of getting money:

- Selling to stores.

- Quests

- Monster Drops

- Thieving (100k an hour magically!)

- Random Events - also things such as crates that give 1gp sometimes.

- Mini games? Maybe?

I believe I got them all.

before that cap was 65k instead of 2100 mil :) things changed since then.

now 90% of money comes from hi-alch. without it we would be selling nats 30 ea and dchain would be maybe 2-5 mil :)

1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb.

02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb.

07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.

Prayer is good for herbs

High-alching, monster drops, selling to stores, and quests. Those are probably the main ones. Quests being one of the lowest out of the four I could think of.
