Teleportation Tablets

What could these be? It was the thing that caught my attention most in the BTS, but I forgot about them amid all this talk of POHs.

 

 

 

What first popped into my mind was something that you could drop on the ground, and it never disappeared, then there was a spell that could be used to teleport back to the tablet from anywhere. (Yay for my RCing :D )

 

 

 

A second use could be just an alternative for runes. You charge it somehow and you could use it in an ectophial-like way: a 1-click, 1-item teleport, but you need to recharge it.

 

 

 

And this third use is where I'm jumping (reluctantly, but hopefully) on the EEK-POH-IS-COMING! bandwagon. As I'm sure lots of you have seen, the picture of construction had a portal in the middle of the area assumed to be a POH. What was assumed was that you could talk to an NPC and they'd teleport you there, or something similar. But with these "teleportation tablets" it is possible that they could be used to teleport there from any point on the map, such as the ectophial teleports you to Phasmatys.

maybe u need 2 tablets and u place 1 somewhere, then when u activate the other tablet u will be teled to the other tablet

Hmmm, hadn't thought of them being connected to POH's, but I don't think POH's are going to be coming out until carpentry/construction is coming out. Would be nice though, would be cool to be able to put 1 in nature alter and super craft, although putting it at the blue dragons would be nice too, seeing as I don't have 70 agility. There would be so many awesome places to put it, man this would so cool!!!

That would be way to good, you couldeasily make millions an hour whne you place them at the nat altar and CW bank...

this is the reason is eriously doubt it will work like that, and also i hope not or natures will plummet and every person will have 91+ rc

I think that teleportation with help of tablets to any place can be true. What I think is that after teleporting the tablet would lose its charge and it will take some time for it to gain full strenght again. This way you wont be able teleprt all the time but lets say once per hour or smth. Another posibility is that there will be special places where youll be able to place those tablets.

 

Its good that we have to wait only couple days, hours? to find out the truth ;)

I've always thought they could be charged with any teleport spell and then just be 1-click tele.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Kwimbob. Or maybe even multiple teleports. For example "charge" it with 10 Falador teleports, so you don't have to carry the runes, just the tablet.

That'll make it so you can GET to the poh without have them like in a trailer camp with 100K other houses...

I'm thinking maybe you buy them, they are expensive ish, there is one for EVERY City, Town, Village, And they are an alternative to mage for the low levels... Or they are like teleports to somewhere like yanille/mort'ton, places that can't be tele'd normally to...Maybe they are made by crafting glass tablets, and a say...75 mageish spell which brings up a menu like one when you craft glass, and you charge it accordingly...Oh and each type is stackable, like, yanille tele tab:43

 

Gnome tree tele tab: 56...so on...Thats my idea :wink: :roll:

With Mort'ton Barrows would be too easy. The rest is ok though :P.

More likely to be an attempt to relaunch the binding basic runes. i.e. you get the laws and waters for a camelot teleport and a teleport tablet. You go and bind the spell into the tablet at whatever alter it is. The tablets would be the same as essance so would take up the other 27 slots.

For some reason I think it could be an item that lets people teleport to certain cities without the required Magic level.

 

 

 

For instance, you could buy a Fally Tablet from a store for say 1-2k and click on it to teleport you there (once per tablet) even if you are only a level 1 Mage.

Oooh I got an idea. Seeing as theres a portal in your POH, there could be a tablet spawn in your house, and you take them and give to your friends or whoever u want, and only they could enter your house using them.

The teleportation tablets will most likely be a me a tablet with multiple charges that will bi-pass the magic level requirement to teleport to certain areas. They will hopefully be rechargable (doubt it) and prob be monster drops.
