I disagree. If you think of it - every channel consists of primarily white people. For instance, Laguna Beach. This teen drama has all white characters, showing brief clips of minorities for 1-9 seconds. This caught the eye of MTV hosts and they created the "Minority Report" to address this.

 

 

 

Also, the black people own the MUSIC INDUSTRY. It was just a matter of time before something like this came out, its enevitable.

 

 

 

And if black people want to inflict a certain image upon themselves - let them! Why do you have to point out their fault, and point the finger at them. Who cares! They can do whatever they want, just how you can do what you want to do.

 

 

 

I dont think of it as a problem, just dont let little kids watch BET at late hours - because it gets a bit explicit. Other than that, I dont see how the program is a problem. Are you kidding me? I've had this debate millions of times, about "White Entertainment Television." Yeah, if there was a station called that, everyone would be angry. Why? Because half of the stations on TV are considered as white entertainment. I don't agree with the whole idea of making a habit of only casting black people, but really, who cares? Half of the stations I get only cast white people, what difference does it make? We make a fuss about it because it's different. We're not used to seeing an all black cast. If a show has an all black cast, automatically its racist these days, right? :roll:

In addition, you bring up the subject of blacks being equal to whites. In many countries, blacks aren't equal to whites. In other countries, whites aren't equal to blacks. In other countries, whites aren't equal to asians. In other countries, blacks aren't equal to indians. In almost all countries, women aren't equal to men. Thats the way it is, regardless of what anyone says, regardless of how we run our societies, this is true. There will always be a discriminatory factor. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone says "omg I hate black people, or I hate white people", no. I'm saying that we aren't equals, and never will be.

Racism exists, and it'll always exist. Just like murderers exist, terrorists exist, etc. I agree that many blacks don't take advantage of the opportunities they're given, but not all, or not even close to all. It's a minority of the minority blacks that don't choose to get a proper education, it's just unfortunate that the media chooses to broadcast all blacks as illiterate. In many areas, white's are more violent than what you believe black's are. Same with asian's, etc. So it's wrong to make that stereotype. You can however say, in your area. That would be fine, as it might very well be true, in your area.

Only those who doesn't want to see claims that oranizations like the KKK is the biggest concern when it comes to racisms. Oh yeah, getting your house burned to the ground obviously isn't fun, but quite frankly, truly problematic racism is not scores of houses being burned down, it's thousands of people who aren't given equal job opportunities due to their name or skin colour, equal opportunities to education due name or skin colour (and equal rights to education and job and opportunities is not the same thing).
