May 29, 200620 yr ^ He's right. But I sure as hell do play rugby :D I play for Caldy oop north and for Cheshire County. I've played for North of England a few times, but because of my area and the politics involved I've fallen out of the running lately. (That and the other players are pretty good >.<) I can operate anywhere in the back line, but I'm predominantly a centre/full-back, with a sidestep to end all sidesteps :P But enough of me inflating my ego, rugby itself is a brilliant sport. The fact you can knock seven bells out of each other, and joke and have a drink about it after the game in the club sums the sport up. You get such a comerarderie (terrible spelling) in rugby which is unrivalled in any sport. I remember reading this quote somewhere: Football is a gentlemen's game played by beasts. Rugby is a beastly game, played by gentlemen Rugby is becoming much more universal lately as well, which is great. No one associates it with middle class toffs as much as they used to (although they're still around). Everyone should try the game out ;) Even if it's just tag or touch rugby, you can still have a bunch of fun. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 30, 200620 yr I played U-15 rugby for two years (in the U.S lol ;-) ). The team's record was 27 wins 5 losses when I was on the team :-). Played a bit of scrumhalf, center, and wing depending on the situation ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã
May 30, 200620 yr Removed the pic - no rl pics please. On topic: We used to have to play rugby at our school in PE but I hated it. I always ended up just kicking the ball along the ground, seemed easier to me. :P
May 30, 200620 yr We never played it at school. We played more of a 2-hand touch football during PE, but becomes tackle football once our break starts. Playing football during winter rocks. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
May 30, 200620 yr Football around here. I guess we raise beasts. I bet the area would be much more entertaining if we played rugby.

May 30, 200620 yr Touch is a mad game, we play it at lunchtimes :D But real rugby is even better ^_^, I play halfback because im left handed and can pass both ways 8-) . I almost prefer watching it more, especially the Crusaders who won the super 14 on saturday :D . All the good New Zealand players go to England to play though D:. It's not fair, I'd like to see some of your games see how many NZ'ers i could spot

May 30, 200620 yr Author Im shocked honestly, i didnt know our college team HAD a rugby squad. Might try out, heard is a grizzly sport though so i might just stick to baseball :P lol well it is a tough old game, i myself have broken my ankle, wrist and collar bone all in the last 4 years, coz as you get older it gets harder, i also play fall back and am a demon at break the line from are 22 to the try line 8-) 8-)
May 30, 200620 yr Yeah i play its my favourite sport. I play for my highschool 1st 15 squad either fullback, centre or open side flank. I love the game and ive played it all my life. My team atm has just started the competition season and we have won 2 out of 2 games. we won 3 out of 4 games in our pre-season going down against 1 of the top sides in my region. Our team is massive this year and i got a good feeling we are gonna take out the competition. The team i support is the super 14 team hurricanes. To bad they lost the final in those quite [cabbage] condishins but oh well.

May 30, 200620 yr I don't play it; though I did a few times, for school. Nothing serious, however. I actually used to get picked amongst the first few, when picking teams. I didn't know the rules all that well, though: it was just that the rest of them were all pansies, or something. deviantart account
May 30, 200620 yr Author lol bit of a difference between school rugby and club, for example most of the team i play for go 2 my school and we make up the super 7 team and at events because we all play for the same club we own so hard, in the final match to win the compition we played against all school player, no club players and we gave them a wooping, like us in full dharok against a guy wit a bronze sword and wooden shield, i think the final score was 74-3 and it is onli 7 mins each way!! lmfao
May 30, 200620 yr I dont play but I wish I did. Id love to man-handle men and have a load of sweaty bodies pile on top of me  And no lol why do you always want to get stuff from John Lewis. Its over ̣̉300 more then than what i paid. John Lewis is a great, great shop.

June 3, 200620 yr Rugby? Oh hell yeah! :D I play for my school, it's a Yorkshire grammar school with a long rugby tradition. 6 of our A team played at county level this year (sadly i missed the trials). I also play for a local club. At first it was a bit of a shock to me, i always played football at primary school but now that i've got into it i love it. :D I've had a few injuries but they'll still never turn me away from it. I used to play full back because I was pretty quick and good on the tackle, but i've put on a bit of weight and height and now play openside flanker. I like being in the scrum but playing flanker also gives me some running flexibility that the props don't have. It's a great game and i've met some great people through it, sure we might be knocking the stuffing out of each other on the field but afterwards we're best friends.
