How the bug works

 

The play abusing the bug will ask you to visit their house. They will have a fencing ring and ask you to fight them, youn can't wear armour in the ring but you can weild weapons. You will most likely not be expecting what comes next and will probably have a great amount on you (cash materials etc). When you get into the ring the player will then pull out a dds and usually use a full bar of dds specials to get you to low hp, if they get you to an almost full red bar they will kick you out the house. If you are unlucky enough to get poisoned, the pioson will hit the final damage and kill you. You will loose everything in your invent but the 3 items you get to keep.

 

 

 

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. Also im posting this with the trust in you ALL not to go out and attempt to abuse this bug yourselves. Hopefully this bug will be fix soon.

I've just lost all my cash (about 3mil), all my materils and some other valubles (armour runes etc). Don't seem much...but read on.

I was in the fencing place and some noob poisend me then expelled all houseguests when i was down to 5hp. When i got out the poisen hit me and i died and lost everything! :cry:

 

 

 

Thats totaly ruined my enjoyemnt of the game for me to be honest. After quitting a while back (after getting hacked and occasionaly coming on to check out the odd update i was mostly waiting for this one (POH). I decided to gather some materials and other things for it. So there i am training someone asks me to check out their house, its a pretty nice one and asked me to fight him (i thought nothing of it) gets me down to 5hp piosend then kicks me out.....waits to pounce on all my stuff on the outside. Can't believe i fell for it.

 

 

 

ahhh man, well i guess this is it now, i tried my hardest to get back into the game and i thought this week would do something for me with the release of Construction, but nope its knocked every chance of me returning to play the game full time again right out the window.

 

 

 

I might still be active in these forums, but for now im taking a break from my PC and a break from anything RS related because thats just pissed me right off.

I went back to the house...and what do you know the same person is there with another victim.

 

 

 

I got the name of the person doing this and the name of the victim after me, the person who also fell for it lost his dharok armour and alot more in other items than i did.

 

 

 

I am quitting, because i don't enjoy the game anymore, im sick of trying to get back into it and gain back items i lost when i was hacked. RS aint the same, its all about money money money now and scamming people and imature 12 year olds. Yeah i know everyone isn't like this but 95% of the RS community (if you can call it that) are imature 12 year olds or scamming little gits.

Aw man, I'm so sorry. Stinks to get caught by a loophole that nobody is even aware of yet. I posted your experience in the main discussion thread so we can pass the word about this scam.

Another bug, granted it didnt cause me to lose anything allows players into the boxing ring, with whatever armour and weapon they wish. If the owner of the house is in their boxing ring, and they have a maid, talk to her. Ask her to take you to the house owner, and boom youre in the boxing ring with everything youre weilding. Doesnt cause any loss, just a bit frusturating when youre having some fun fights, then some fun-killer comes in with a whip and spanks everybody.

Wow..That's just really pathetic. The things people will do these days is just baloney. Feel sorry for you man :( It's just so stupid. Good on you for posted it, may have prevented it happening to others here, thanks :) If you ever come back, you're always welcome to come in my house with no strings attatched :D

Just been on the rs forums....its starting to become a big problem. Theres about 5-6 people who have lost great amounts of money and materials to it.

 

 

 

I knew i should of stayed away from POHs for a while to let jagex sort out all the bugs.

 

 

 

I didn't even manage to even get a single lvl* in the skill! lol.

Yes, there was this guy that did it too. He dds specialed me, but I died before he can expel me from his house =]

 

But, he did it again with another guy, this guy died. Good thing he didn't have anything valueble on him

wow thats lame. i feel sorry that you had that happen to you and i totally agree that it seems people are just in RS for the money...people who get lvls rarely get the respect they deserve. but quitting isnt the answer because if everyone decent quits all we are going to be left with is scamming macroing noobs who are just gonna make life hell for everyone...because they think they can. play RS for yourself and do the best you can oh and dont trust anyone lol.

It's some downside to the game when new updates make skilled players loose big amounts of their valued items and money with the consequence that they might quit.

 

 

 

I myself lost my obby set and some rune stuff at the stepping stones during the Royal Trouble. This was a major set back for me since i'm not very rich.

Regarding the topic at hand, I'm glad you posted that, cause I was kinda looking forward to getting a fencing ring:).

I was Ddsing in fencing then bam im outside with 2 hp i ran all the way back lol.

i wonder if you could try and enter your house before the poison takes place. Then you would be able to die and keep all your stuff. It's a seriously lame scam though - didn't take long for people to figure out. I'd be absolutely furious if someone did this to me. Well done for reporting them - I hope they get everything that they deserve.

Well, dunno why one would be carrying 3 mill into someone else's house. Should've stayed in your own house and put work in on that... and got the games yourself.

 

 

 

The only real way to avoid such a thing is to probably get a fencing ring in your own home. That way you know no one can boot you, since you're the one that has the "power". Either that, or just visit POHs of your friends. Their least likely to rip you off (obviously, there are some exceptions).

 

 

 

Overall, don't take expensive items to other players POHs.

They have fixed this bug. I was boxing in my freinds house yesterday, and i tried to pull out my d long, bt it wouldn't let me.

I guess it pays to be anti social to noobs...

I knew POHs were gonna cause more bad then good...

I know it was a stupid thing to do (taking 3mil into someone elses house), but i wasn't expecting anything remotely like that to happen. To say jagex have been working on this for...how long?...i would of thought they might of found this bug through the tests they do before they release it.

 

I mean it wasn't that hard to find and abuse really. I know i may seem to be trying to take the blame off myself and putting on to jagex but....ahhh i don't know.

 

 

 

Taking a LONG break, might try and find my feet again after the summer.

I almost experienced the bug...Got out 5hp poisoned...Tele'd duel arena, kept my rapid heal prayer on til 7hp, then teled cw and ate some monkfish. 8-)

 

 

 

Guess I'm the lucky one.

Sorry for your loss :( Some people in this game are just downright stupid, the game is supposed to be about fun not scamming and making others unhappy.
