I'd say Franz Ferdinand is one of the best bands nowadays. The music has a massive amount of energy.

 

Marcy Playground- Jon Wozniak is a very talented lyricist

 

Bright Eyes- the music is very catchy, and Conor Oberst is also a very talented lyricist

 

Dispatch- They just rule, no arguments :D

 

Flogging Molly- Frickin amazing... if you havent heard of them, check them out

 

Foo Fighters- Dave Grohl Is a very talented musician...

 

Keller Williams- Crazy guitarist derr

 

Led Zeppelin- best band ever hands down, like I said before. 8-)

 

Of a Revolution- Great Band. Crazy game of poker = one of my favorite songs

 

Red Hot Chili Peppers- also just a great band. Under the Bridge ftw yay

 

Sublime- Bradley Nowell was a great musician...

I like matisyahu. I saw him in concert and not only is his beat catchy but his lyrics bring more to your mind than suicide, getting laid before your 15, or putting caps into someone else. Hes a good artist and would be amuch better roll model then lets say Lostprophets.

 

 

 

But I have to say the most lyrically gifted band is Death Cab For Cutie // The Postal Service (same singer who writes and sings the lyrics) I am a person who appreciates good lyics.

 

 

 

BUTT another GREAT band is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They have a ton of good songs. They also have pretty good lyrics and theyre really good. With their most recent hit being dani california, which i think is awesome, they have tons of other hits. Such as: Under the Bridge, Can't Stop, The Zepher Song, Californication, and many more.
