so resently joined on as member for a little being at lvl 60 made me rather low compared to everyone else. it would seem like out 100 people maybe 1 of them would be lower than me :cry: but then! construction! and suddenly boom! noobs everywhere!! their like locusts!!! i've even started members in the teens! like a lvl 19 member! it is so fricken annoying. anyone else think the new infestation is annoying as hell?

My lvl 3 (soon to be main) character is a member... Nothing wrong with it?

can we count lv 60 and under?

Just because they are low leveled doesn't mean they will always be a noob. some of them might be skillers or might be a second account. maybe their first account got temp banned or something.

You learn to live with these waves of 'infestations' after you've been a member for awhile. They get annoying but I pretty much don't pay any attention to them so they don't bother me.

 

But I fail how to see how you can make this rant about an influx of new low level members where you admit you're a low level, and you say you're new. Kind of hypocritcal?

Also, those low lvl WONT be joining to contruction, they couldhardly afford to get past level 5... construction is hugely expencive.

people can be a member at any level they want even at level 3 besides they're only paying for us to get an update directed at higher players

lmao mixand. I'm only lvl 86, been a member for 4 months. But I've been playing since RSC, almost 6 years now. :P I don't get annoyed by the new members coming in. Only when they start trying to ask for money and directions all the time does it get annoying.

Not true, I and My sister got to level 20 without spending more then 10k, but then i ran off and power-level'd to level 65 (buying all oak logs and planks)

This is true. You do get used to it, and learn how to deal with people ignorant to happenings in the game.

 

 

 

What Smapla said is also true. On my level 108, people follow me like I'm an orange-cladden god, but when I get on my level 3 skill total character, the me, Chris, controlling that level 3, and the level 3, and both considered noobs. So I am a noob, and god, in the same person? No. People assume that low levels are noobs, although alot could be classified as a noob, many, are not.

The only annoying thing is that they always ask for directions, when I got my members I never asked for directions, I used a map. I odn't care about th elevel though, plenty of my friends are lvl 19 or something (it does get annoying whne they ask to PK with me :P ).

People are free to join members at what ever level they wish. Level has nothing to do with how much of a noob someone may be. I met lvl 100+ members who act more like a noob than a lvl 3 fresh off turtorial Island...

 

 

 

And I disagree with the opinion that you shouldn't join members until you are a certain level. There are a lot of benifits to joining at a lower level. It is easier to train for one.

 

 

 

We were all new once, so why not take a minute to help the 'newbs' rather than call them 'noobs'...

I agree, there shouldn't be anything to stop people becoming members, but it gets really annoying when people become members when they don't have a clue what they're doing. But waves of noobs can be expected with all big updates like construction, live with it.

I frankly fail to see how this can be a problem to anyone. I also think this belong on the rants board - which is there for rants like this.

Hey, you saying a lvl 41 combat "newb" with about 31 magic shouldn't join members????

 

(That was when I started i'm 52 combat now- 37 magic as well)

 

 

 

What are you, a mad dog barking cause you see a stick??? I was a newb, you were too once!!!! Newbies flooded to members when the upsdate came because they wanted a house. On the subject of newbs flooding in, if they want they can. If they don't they don't. Yes, I agree they should know there is a map, but you proably did ask around once aswell.

Maybe try to think of it like this ... The money they spend on the game will improve it. :)

I 0tarted playing RS in dec 2005, after I came off noobie island I was in a free server, and tried to go in the varrock sewer, then tried a few other things and it kept saying you need to be a member, etc etc

 

 

 

So I joined there and then, and have played soooo many hours since, I think becoming a member straight away is a good thing, member servers have more helpfull people, and members are usually richer, so you can do jobs for them.
