Who do you admire the most?

Featured Replies

Who do you admire the most? Your kitten? Your big brother? Your great-uncle?

I'd have to say my grandmother. She was married four times, and not one of them stayed with her. She got four kids though, who she kept and raised and worked her wagon off at the Safeway trying to feed, without child support. She is brocoli rockin!

From people that I know personally, mine too would have to be my Gran. She is 86 now, had 6 children and has been a widow for twenty years. She is full of good advice, kindness and love. She has always been there for me and I do admire her greatly for everything mentioned already plus her resiliance and hardyness.

I'd have to say my Dad. He's been wonderful in staying active in my life, encouraging me in my activities, and being a great role model for when I become a parent. He's the best Dad ever. =D>

I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Hopefully I can change that. :D

The most? Everyone in my family is admirable in different ways so I'm going to pick someone outside of the fam.

I'd have to say my old English teacher. She's one of the the most brilliant people I've ever met in my life. Strong-willed, level headed...she could really challenge me.

My dad, respect him for every sacrifice he's taken for us. He lives away from us 5 days of the week since he works far off from here. I respect him for that because I know how much it sucks for him.

Probably not the most, but my business studies teacher.

Multimillionaire. Like $30+ million net worth I'd say. Yet she teachs in a average public school, by far the best hardest working and most enthusiastic teacher I've ever had. Took me in 2 years from a B student to getting 100% on exams. Extremely generous and light hearted too.

Wanted to make this my 2000th post O:)

Well for me... it would have to be me.. and im quite seriouse. It used to be my dad, but ive learned so many things... i am not exactly proud of him.

But besides myself, it would probably have to be my best friend. He is basicly the man of the house (has his mother, younger brother, and two older sisters) and still manages to jugle school, work, and a perfect relationship.

As egotistical as it may sound, but I admire myself the most.

I had never had role modles that I based myself on because my parents had problems and wouldn't let me get close to anyone, so I became the person I decided would be the best for what I did. Overcame more then a few extreme problems, and for the most part, I'm a decent person.

I guess I'm kind of the same, by default.

There's no-one I know who I really admire so much that they've changed my life. I mean, I've had inspirational figures for me in fields of sport (Ali) etc., but I couldn't say I admire them most as I don't even know them (IMO)

Besides the obvious sports heros (Ruth, Aaron, Ali, Frasier, Jordon, Favre, Unitas, Gretzky), id have to totally agree with MPM on this one, parental problems, sheltered childhood, no one i could really admirebut myself coming through the iron grip of my mother and being a strong willed person i am today.
