No I've been punched in the nose a dozen times all it does is make my eyes water, plus im not about to physically hurt myself just to see if I'll cry, because I know I wont.

I've just heard one of the sadest things and I wanted to know why it didn't make me cry like a baby.

Guys can cry. If you kick them hard enough, and in the right spot.

I probly wouldn't cry.. I just wouldn't move for about a half hour...

I don't remember the last time I cried... I've seen and heard things that made me want to cry but I didn't, because for some reason I don't like the idea of getting a rep for being a sensitive guy. Also injury doesn't make me cry, just makes my eyes water... My friend broke a board over my side a couple of weeks ago (cause I smacked him in the face with a stick) and that didn't hurt. My other friend hit me with his bike (the pegs on the front) and that hurt, made my eyes water but I didn't cry and I've still got a nice bruise from it...

ya... a friend of mine cant cry, but thats cause he was born with no tear glands. he need to put drops in his eyes everyday to keep them moist.

But i know i never cry unless its something that really hurts... I dont like it when people cry.

I don't say this because I want to appear macho, or anything like that; however, I find it very hard to cry. I've felt like it, but there just aren't any tears coming out. My eyes water if I get sharp pain in my face, so it's not that there isn't the fluid to come out... I'm sure I can cry, however. I'm closer to tears when watching something emotional than when upset myself -- I can feel it.

I don't regard it as a problem -- or a plus, for that matter.

guys dont cry because everyone thinks they arent supposed to. i think it would be much healthier if i cried everynow and then, rather than just bottling it up inside me and letting it come out as anger.

I broke down 3 times in my life so far. I cried before, but not because of getting hurt physically, but because of personal problems and stress.

I remember crying a lot when I was a kid though. All those times I tripped while playing tag, damn.

Guys can cry, just look at emos.

If you want to cry just watch Bicentennial Man, I have to watch it in segments so that I don't. I don't care if you think its a crap film.

I haven't cried in around two years. Properly cried that is. Not just leaking a few tears. The last time I really cried was when I heard my Auntie had died in a car crash. Since then I've shed a few tears, but they were silent tears (if you get what I mean). Guys should cry I think, just not as much as girls.

Edit - I realise after I clicked 'submit' that I cry a lot when listening to music. Not blubbering mind but a few songs really do bring tears to my eyes.

Crying shows that you are vulnerable. The way guys are wired, we don't want to appear vulnerable. It's just not as socially acceptable as for a girl.

Interesting thing to think about: I've done a fair amount of acting, and the one thing I find almost impossible is crying onstage. I can be angry, happy, sad, crazy, lovesick, whatever, and truly believe in the scene I am creating. I've convincingly committed suicide onstage. But when it comes time to cry, that is such a vulnerable moment, I can't carry it out without becoming self-conscious. And as soon as I become self-conscious, I lose my belief in the scene, and the tears and the scene stop for me. That's how intense crying is. I think that's why guys won't let themselves cry.

Yeah, I dont like it when people cry and you aren't. It's just...awkard. When my uncle died my mom, grandma, and sister where crying. My dad was away and I was the only person not crying. I was sad and I loved my uncle it's just...I couldnt shed any tears. I did to myself that night not really crying.

I have the same kinda problem. No matter what happens i can't cry. But i've gotten used to it now. But to be honest it really doen't bother me that I can't.

O and btw getting hit in the face doesn't make you cry. It just makes you EXTREMELY angry.

Here's what I meant to put as my initial reply:

Real men can't cry. It's physiologically impossible. If you've ever seen a man crying then it is because it is a man-woman halfbreed, more commonly known as the 'Sissy' (Sisseus Notesticulus). These parasites have infested our towns & cities and started to breed with our people - they must be stopped.

They often masquerade as 'sensitive guys' and 'guys in touch with their feminine side'. They may buy what their kind refer to as 'male grooming products' and are incapable of having one of the two true male haircuts - shaved, and totally uncut/long (and that doesn't include 'layering' or emo styles). Keep your eyes open for them.

Should you spot a Sissy, there are only two ways to kill them; forcing them to eat beef jerky and playing loud Pantera.
