I'm 16 years old and been playing this game for 4 years (on and off took a break for like a year and a half)

 

 

 

Anyway I was chatting to this girl (could have been a guy you never know this days :x ). Seems like a nice person.

 

 

 

After a while he/she asks me my age, I reply 16 naturally. She then comments "bit old for this game aren't you". I think she felt intimidated by my age I dunno. I replyed a smile and humbly removed her.

 

 

 

So has this ever happened to any of you? What do you consider to be the right age for the game? :?

Meh, I know people of 60+ years that play and are more than happy....

i am 15 i consider 40 too old. zezima is 21 and i know people that are 22 and they love this game.

Pfft, 16 isn't nearly too old, especially considering there is no maximum age! It might be a bit odd if your grandparents played, but there's nothing really wrong with it. I say the same thing about younger players, stop stereotyping us! We are not all the same! :shame: (Not that anybody here was saying that, just pointing it out.)

No one is too old. The only thing that matters is if you enjoy the game. :shame:

 

 

 

I'm only 15 now, which is not really old figuring about half my list is 20-30 years old..

 

 

 

Most of the people who say that are either too young to understand that people at any age need to have fun.. or they're twice your age and embarrassed to be playing the game. Most likely the first.

I agree. It's a game! You can't be too old for fun, or anger, or fear, or whatever you want to consider an emotion! Honestly, Runescape is just like any other game. It's not your fault that a good chunk of them are 8-14. Meh. What do I know? I'm not even a teenager. Does that make me too young for a highschool education? (I don't get one, but its hypothetical).

well, i play another online game where you can make your own camp and live there, one of the leaders is a 40 yea old guy with a server in the top 20 in call of duty 2 :shock:

There isnt really an age cap on runescape. At the end of the day its just a game and everyone plays games just some people have chosen concoles others online games, there all the same at the end of they day.

 

 

 

The thing you have to think about though is how much time you are spending on runescape relative with your age e.g should you be doing school work instead?? Thats what i think anyway you just gotta watch how much your playing and dont neglect things.

So people should stop playing games, having fun and wasting time when they get older? Just laugh it off and ignore them.

Sometimes i dont think this game is only for kids.

Yeah, some guy asked me how old I was, I told him and then he accused me of being a fat, depressed girl. I was just like ... "o rly?"

If 16 is too young for him/her, it gives us a clue of how old she/he may actually be. It is very possible she/he was 8-12, thinking that runescape was more suited for people around his/her age group. He/she probably doesn't know that many teenagers that play Runescape. Maybe she/he thinks Runescape is an immature game.... If so, Shame on her!

Turned 15 2 days ago and I don't think I'm too old. First person in def. highscores, Omarsherif, is around 75 yrs. old. That girl should talk to him ;)

im 20 and i love the game. most people that i tell that too have normal reactions but a couple of them have freaked at me for being old playing a kids game. :roll:
