Blade8422
Good evening Tip.it, Today, I logged in to find that my account, Blade8422, level 85, with a few million gp had been emptied. How? I don't know, Why? Even more of a mystery. I had never gotten round to putting a pin on my bank. I logged off, and when I tried to log back on later, My account was locked. Now most people would have a bit of trouble coming to grips with the loss of a whole account, But I for one, feel no remorse for it. So I've decided, Insted of struggling with recoveries and appeals, I'll start a new account. It would be very very easy for me to pick up the phone and get a months membership, and speed train some skills, But insted, I'm going to play f2p, for LIFE. I don't miss membership actually, Infact..With less things to concentrate on, and less things to blow my cash on, I think I'll be doing better. My good friend gave me a whole heap of arrows so I can get to 40 range, and another friend lent me enough runes for 25 magic. So a good start, to a good account. I'm really looking forward to a lot of fun as a f2p player, and can't wait for the new update. Just thought I'd share this story, a story that would usually be a sad post, turned into an upbeat story of..well...determination? Thanks for reading. :3> Just started my new account. Enrico1992
I really don't get why you: 1. Don't appeal. 2. Don't become member.
Blade8422
1.Because I've tried to help a friend appeal..Long process, and I can't be bothered..Also, I want the challenge of starting over. 2. I can't really afford it, as I've bought too many concert tickets. Just started my new account.
Kewl_Sabre
Glad to see you're not committing suicide over pixels, as too many Runescape players would do. You know what they say - always look on the bright side of life :D However, you might want to at least send in an appeal. You could always make it f2p after you get it back. Jagex actually responds to appeals - sometimes. Anyway... welcome to f2p. As long as you know how to use the ignore option, you'll do fine.
Blade8422
The thing is, I don't want the levels of a member, I want a free product. =] And for now, I'm having no trouble with spamming or mass trading. I just had a nice conversation with a level 38 killing cows. :P Just started my new account.
Lode
I foresee you'll be a member again next month. Good luck! Kill_Life
Welcome in F2P. The worlds with the least updates and with lots of fun. On the left you'll see newbs, on the right you'll see scammers. Nah, joking. Their are a lot more scammers, that's true. But it's fun :) And still a lot to do! Blade8422
lol, Least updates yea, but I seriously couldn't keep up with the members updates. I hardly ever trained my member skills, Only the extra items kept me going. :P And with Jagex adding more worlds, it's easier to find one without as many scammers these days. And remember, the "funky f2p" update. That should be good, new armour. :) Anyone who wants to add me, feel free to. I'm up for a chat. Just started my new account. Chaos_Reborn
I actually inspired a fan of my site to quit his membership. He thought it was so boring as a p2p with no scammers after reading my site :? Hope Jagex doesn't ban me for f2p entertaining. Visit my Runescape comedy website, based on in-game screenshots.

As long as you know how to use the ignore option, you'll do fine. someone needs to make a guide to f2p, this is guideline number 1. I laughed out loud when I read that. Hope your f2p experience goes well.
Popsumpot
Welcome Blade. I have been f2p for four years, and I am determained not to get member (pay-per-months games clashes with my personal philosiophy). In my experience, Falador has the least noobs, Lumby and Draynor have the most Willow/Yew Autoers, Varrock has the most Oak autoers. You can pratically earn money by picking up the logs they drop. Noobs are a double edged blade, but I have learnt that if you add a newbie and help them out, they are genearlly very willing to work for you, so you can build up a network of low level player supplying you with feathers, logs and cow hides. I hade heaps of fun when I got to Level 60 Fire Making, burning while reporting all the Autoers. I hope you have a wonderful time in the world of f2p, and I am up for a chat any time. Blade8422
Thanks! That had a few great pointers, And i've added you, so we'll talk soon. :) I've seen the amount of logs on the ground. It's great, so far I've eaned some money from hide, and I'm working on 40 range atm. Then I'll be doing some skills, so far it's been great. Thanks for the support. :3> Just started my new account. Krazyck
I have been, and always wll be, a f2p player. There is a much better sense of accomplishment in gaining f2p levels than those same levels when you are member, since is just so much easier in members. i just finished getting 90 mining which was pretty sweet, and i WOULD have had ober 500 mil in rares, save for the fact that i was severly screwed over a year ago by a friend in real life... anyways, if you ever need f2p help, you can defintly add me and ill be glad to help, ive been f2p for about 5 years? i have a bit of experience :P 1543 Skill total, 100% F2P
