all the pple that grab turches and burns the other team's equipment is getting on my nerves

 

1.its point less, it doesnt matter if ur team wins, u get the same ammount of points if u win or lose

 

 

 

2.now ur just making the other team not able to get many points

 

 

 

3.now the other team see u doing it, so then they do it to your team so then you lose points also

 

 

 

4.u could be helping your team out to get more points

 

 

 

 

 

if both teams stop burning everything both teams could easily get 25+ points each game.

 

 

 

also theres those pple saying "i wont do it unless they do it, then ill do it back!" well after 1 idiot does it, and u do it back, then theres other pple on that team, that will go and do it to yours cause u did it to them.

 

 

 

now guys please stop burning anything, it doesnt help AT ALL. its just makes u get less points and gets other people mad!

Ralvn, he wasn't whining. He gave a bunch of logical points to why you should stop doing something so unbeneficial. Really though, if it doesn't help yourself, and winning doesn't matter in this game, why waste the time of so many people by doing that? It's not like it's a big guilty pleasure to pixelate-burn their stuff wasting their time?

I burn the pipes and the hoppers because it's something to do while I collect flowers. I have just one thing to say DON'T BURN THE BRIDGES! It causes problems for both teams and gets on the nerves of almost everyone.

Why would you want to do something that is so unbalanced? You get a TINY plus and they get a HUGE negative. W00tz0rz, a spot of fm xp! and Great, tons of potential xp lost. If you saw a little girl drop a quarter when she was trying to get a gumball would you put your foot over it? It's a freaking QUARTER to you but to her it is a gumball and a bunch of fun. Your gain in both situations is FAR outweighed by her/their loss, let alone the fact that it inspires retaliation, which costs you more xp than you would gain from the burning. :wall: This is like most rc pkers. They gain a glory (wee 60-85k) and can cost their opponent hours in pouch re-gathering. You are all their for xp right? Then why not do what you can to GET it? It is not like the opposing team is filled with scammers, hackers, your clan's nemesis', etc. They are just people out to have fun GETTING xp.

 

 

 

The only exceptions that I can see to this are 1. playing against enemies and 2. COMPETING against friends. If you know your opponents then feel free to have fun either way. Burning is a very effective way to limit their winnings so do it if you are just there to compete and not there for xp... because you won't get very much after everything is on fire.

 

 

 

If you are playing to win then burn. If you are playing for xp then avoid burning at all costs. I will burn if I see a friend just to bug him maybe ONCE but only if I know he has the water on him. It is a joke that is funny ONE TIME but otherwise wastes loads of potential xp. As of now I have yet to burn at all.

i agree, burning anything, especially bridges is pointless, it just means you have to go around the edges, and also slows you down getting flowers so you actually slow your own team down which means less exp at the end, iv never burnt anything in there, and never will

 

 

 

plus you can get way better fm exp in a free world at lumby general store

That is the only part I don't understand... Jagex puts the flowers you need on the enemie's side of the map, but they also let you burn the bridge of your enemy, preventing you (and your team) from easily getting the flowers - which are a vital ingredient for both the Rum AND getting the bitternut.

 

 

 

So if you burn anything, just don't burn the bridges, it slows both teams down.

like some people said, burning your friends stuff is fun because you do it in a light hearted way, but joining the game with the only intention to go into your opponents base to activly sabotage thier stuff is pointless

I will tell you one of the reasons why it doesnt pay to burn stuff...

 

 

 

I once got caught in a game where it was just me and some guy i didnt know against 5 others (yeah, 2 of ours chickened out)

 

 

 

But when they were torching the place all over, burning our pipes (do these actually regenerate?) and bridges and the occasional hopper, we just stocked up on ingredients (I PM'd him with instructions)...

 

 

 

We gathered enough materials for approximately 7 bottles, while the score was still 0-0, and then lit the boilers up and ran around fixing the pipes, all with 12 minutes left in the game...

 

 

 

And sure enough our score went up... 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0...

 

And then these 5 guys saw that there was not much to win at our side, so they ran like headless chickens gathering materials as fast as they could...

 

 

 

The game ended in 8-1

 

 

 

And while they got a few thousand xp in firemaking, so did we (my comrade torched their place while I kept ours running, and vice versa), but on top of that we got atleast 1500 crafting xp, as well as 3k cooking xp, and sure, enough 1k agility as well...

 

 

 

Add to that that I got 120+ pieces of eight (2 of The Stuff woot) on top of that... Never asked how much the other guys got...

 

 

 

 

 

Now, its ok to torch their stuff... but do it moderately... It's not worth losing, as the xp you get as a bonus is halved or something...

 

 

 

 

 

Another thing... You are not sposed to have more then 1 torch at a time.

 

-Trading torches is considered BUG ABUSE

 

-Asking others for torches is considered ENCOURAGING TO BREAK RULES
