Temp banned but for the wrong reason?

Just appeal the ban. State that you were just using a fake account and pass to demonstrate this guy was a trying to scam.

 

 

 

Jagex can't have time to get into the context of the discussion, so appeal, state that you gave a fake name and pass to further help justify catching the guy.

 

 

 

If someone tries to scam me, I play along so the guy gives enough rope to hang himself with.

Actually, IMO, I think they do. Half of them play the game for a day and start begging. They're asking me, to give them stuff I worked for... It's stupid. It's disrespectful. They might as well go up to you and say "Hey, can I have free stuff? I don't care what you have done or worked for. I want you to support me because I don't want to work." And you know what's even worse? The people that give them stuff.

3) How on earth could some1 at Jagex even think you were trying to "share" such an obviously fake account

3.) It really doesn't matter if the account is fake or not, once you think of it. If you are so open to let people think you're sharing an account... They might as well punish you and make sure you're never going to do it (or to cease doing it).

First off, most of them don't know anything about the game, and they don't know what to do, so they ask for free stuff. If ymo they should be banned since it's disrespectful/stupid, then IMO people who use the term "noob" should all be banned too.

You do realise that it was probably your report against him that Jagex reviewed and saw you giving him a password? The other person wouldn't have reported you because that would be incriminating himself, but you? well you seemed to not think of that, quite funny really.

No more need to argue about it, you did broke a rule. Try to not joke about those things only comes bad things out of it. Its only temp not perm look at yourself as lucky and pick up from this happening so it wont heppen again.

 

 

 

Umm no, last I checked the rule was, and I quote the runescape site

 

 

 

"Rule 6 - Account Sharing/Trading

 

Each account should only be used by ONE person."

 

 

 

He did not trade or share an account. Had rule 6 been "No telling others a username and pass that you claim to be yours, then he would have broken a rule. I'd appeal it man, get that black mark off your record.
