astral runes - replacing life runes?

i think souls and bloods would be for summoning honestly, maybe have to bind the 2 for a life ;)

 

 

 

Oh...my...gosh! Think About It! (By "it" I mean the runes we have)

 

 

 

Body+blood+soul= life! :thumbsup:

 

 

 

Actually, body, mind, and soul would be a more logical combination for summoning. :roll:

 

 

 

 

 

actually, if you think about it, theres no point in giving something thats going to have less of a lifespan than a varrock guard a soul.

 

 

 

mind, body, and blood would be most fitting

seems to me that magic is getting a little too strong i mean hold people in place and then you have the whole ancient and now this its making magic a little too strong in my opinion

 

 

 

At 99 str, a meleer can hit 40+ with a whip, and up to 92 with dharoks on players. They can use specials which can hit 37*2 - 74 damage, which they can do 4 times in a row. Thier armor has good melee and range defence. Training is very cheap

 

 

 

At 99 ranged, a ranger can hit 24's quickly (far more quickly than you can heal). They can spec a max of 48, without chanign weapon. Thier clothing and weaponry is very inexpensive, and training, although more expensive than melee, is comparatively cheap because they can pick up thier arrows. Thier armor has good melee, mage and range defence.

 

 

 

At 99 mage, a mage can hit a maximum of 30, which can freeze some one or lower thier defence. Each ice barrage costs 2.5k per cast. The training is the most expensive of any skill - high alching will lose you around 1.32mil per 10k bows alched. Mage armor has very low defence bonuses to magic, melee or ranged. Spells are highly expensive and unrecoverable

 

 

 

The training costs have changed with the advent of PC - I just got 92 mage through that - but the cost of casting magics havent changed. Moreover, this update does not give mages any offensive powers (apart from vengence i suppose), and only helps them with skilling really. Mage, if anything, is underpowered.

life runes were an rsc item that never came into use.

 

 

 

The simple fact is they never actually exsisted so they cannot be replaced. They were nrvr even in the current version of rs

 

 

 

Summoning will come in due time I think, whether it will sue astral runes or another new type remians to be seen

im pretty sure they'll make life/soul/blood runes craftable EVENTUALLY...

 

 

 

what horrors it will be when bloods cost as much as nats..

 

 

 

The price of runes have always been a lil more than shop price. right now the new runes cost 300 each but the shop sells them 100 -150 when 1 left. which means they're worth like 200 in the end. where nats are 250 in shop only 300-350 on street. the runes are always based a lil higher but never lower than shop price. shop price for bloods is 500. no one will sell for less than that so being same cost of nats? not in this lifetime. they'll make sure they make em hard to craft.

If you think about it he's probably right.

 

Soul rune-gives soul, spirit, all that

 

blood-Gives blood, flesh, other stuff.

 

 

 

So maybe they would both be used to summon somehting

Astral runes don't really have any use unless you want to use the new spell book. I don't really like that new spell book to much though =\ The only useful teleport is the one that actually goes to Lunar Island. And all the other spells are only really good for pking or something (the healing spells). The spell 'NPC contact' ... please tell me how we're gonna use that?
