Hello again.. Ive been wondering.. i have yet to research this topic but i will once i get some opinions. Theres eveidence that shows its real but ive heard theres evidence thats its not. If this topic has been made already then my apologies, if its too contriversal then once again.. but otherwise let the Intelligent Debate begin.

 

 

 

Did the moon landing actually happen Yes/no and why you think so?

And the amount of people involved would've made it impossible to fake.

i've done a little bit of research on the topic once when i was bored. on a few sites i had found out a controversy that is actually quite big. i know it'll probly sound stupid, but like moose said this is about our opinions and if we've done any research on the matter. on the sites i browsed i found some information about an alien colony living on the moon, and we never have gone to the moon, because according to the research i made this alien colony had got in touch with this secret international government (besides the UN). this alien colony had threatened to destroy earth if they came to the moon. this alien race is believed to be thousands of years farther in technology than us. i personally believe this ONLY to some extent. so don't be flamin' :thumbsup:

For the sake of the United States at the time, making it appear that we have moved past the USSR in space travel technology. That's the theory at least.

Aren't there telescopes and stuff that can see the items they left behind on the moon?

 

 

 

I heard they were thinking of doing another mission to the moon, for the test run for Mars, maybe it was bs, but this would likely prove beyond a doubt if it was real or not.

America and the Solviet Union were enemies at the time, and the Solviets were the first to put a man in space. Now, shouldn't america be jealous? So, we put forth a plan to try to land a man on space no?

 

 

 

I do not believe that the moon landing was faked, even if it was, shouldn't we be able to send another man up there? With the technology and resources we should be able to.

I think it happened. :lol: I want them to do another mission to the moon though. That would be cool.

Russia is smoking us now as it is anyways. Why would we not fake something else? It was just a one-time deal to say we got to another space-body before anyone?

As Darkrick said it would be nearly impossible to fake, with the amount of people involved. Information would be leeked out into the general public with a story that big, and it wouldn't be able to stay hidden for very long.

Haha, what about the array's of corner mirrors on the moon that scientists use for calculating the speed of light/distance to the moon; they just didn't appear their on their own. Basically there are a set of mirrors on the moon where we reflect big beams of light off to accurately calculate the distance to the moon, therefore someone (or something) must have put them there.

There is a difference in landing people on the moon and landing a probe on the moon. You have to overcome cosmic radiation to protect the astronauts. All those space monkeys probably enjoyed being microwaved.

 

 

 

Other conspiracies I believe to be true, too bad they are discredited by association to UFO-nuts and people who don't believe in the moon landing.

The two best website debunking the conspiracy theorists with detailed analysis and photography experiments you can do yourself to prove that converging shadows for example are more than possible without studio lighting.

It would probably be more of an effort to accomplish faking it then to actually do it, regardless if the technology available is today's or 40 years ago.

I was told that there was something wrong with the moondust (or lack of moondust). But seeing as i'm not 100% sure what the moon's surface is I wouldn't know...

Hahaha! We had this exact discussion at dinner last night mocking people like you. :P

I remember a few years back there was a show about it, explaining all the reasons why people didn't think the moon landing actually existed. It was interesting, as the evidence they presented made sense. Of course, i was still in junior high back then, and i don't remember much of it

 

 

 

One thing i remember, however, was that they said, at the time, there was a lot of radiation coming from the sun (or something like that) and it was one of the largest recorded at that time (the radiation, that is), and going to the moon in that radiation, without any protection (apparently, the suits back then was just cloth and aluminum foil...) would have lead to death

 

 

 

i'm no expert of course, but now that you bring up the topic, that one piece of evidence has been bugging me :x can someone provide a counter-argument?

Moon landing at 1969 is fake. Obviously fake.

 

 

 

First of all, you don't even see the star at the video. Whenever you get out from the earth and travel through space, you ALWAYS see stars all aronud you, ALWAYS. In that landing video, you never seen a single one.

 

Second of all, the flag is not supposed to flap. There's no air in the Moon, there's no atmosphere in that place and no pressure. So, the flag is supposed to stay still in a perfect rectangle. The only place you can flap a flag is in a place where oxygen is present {in which is the Earth.} So in that same video, the flags waves all the time and never stood still.

 

Third of all, they are no crosses at the Moon. You're not supposed to see black camera crosses at the moon. The only cameras that made you see are Filmaking cameraqs from HollyWood in that time. {Plus, if Neil Armstrong is truly the first person who walked on the moon, he should be the first person to plant a cross and an American flag. I'ts obviously impossible to find already-implanted crosses all over the Moon.}

 

 

 

That's why the moon landing back in 1969 was a fake show off historical lie to deceive the Soviets back at the Cold War {when Spoutnik was already launched out in space. the American were already jealous at that time.}

As for your flag flapping claim...have you actually seen the movie? It doesn't move about as you claim. It looks like it's flapping because it's creased. It's creased because it was unfolded, and with no atmosphere present, nothing could 'uncrease' it.

Yeah. I more enjoyed reading it not for scientific information, but just to hear about all of the theories about why people think it was faked. I'd never looked into it that much and didn't realize there was so much involved. :P

Heh, you're right actually :P It's the whole idea of more effort going in to faking it then actually doing it again.
