July 29, 200619 yr Well im sure most of us saw the poll this week about if u could give one skill to f2p which one would u give them and i belive flectching is still in first. so here is my question qould u actuly give flectching to the f2pers if u could get a new p2p skill? Of course it would be a limited version of flectching just arows and bows up to what the f2pers can use (well maybe they would give us yew long bows too). so would u do it? thxs vibro for the sig ^_^.
July 29, 200619 yr Yes. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
July 29, 200619 yr giving them fletchign would basically mean the f2pers would hav the same shot of making cash as us(p2p) high alchings(yew longs) is probably one of the best ways to make cahs u see ive quit because of the dumb side of the RS community, not because i play too much (like 1 hour a day) dont get lured!
July 29, 200619 yr Author true but so what if they made money liek u they can hardly spend it on anythign anyway and it would help the pathetic f2p economey out a little bit thxs vibro for the sig ^_^.
July 29, 200619 yr The best way to make money would be merchanting. Nature crafting through the abyss would come in second...
July 29, 200619 yr sure it would make f2pers get some cash, but all the moneymakers in f2p are being destroyed by autoers....
July 29, 200619 yr sure it would make f2pers get some cash, but all the moneymakers in f2p are being destroyed by autoers....That's actually a really good point, and one I hadn't thought of to boot  Really, as an f2per I dont really care about whether or not we get a portion of a new skill, I'm happy with the game as it is. I make good cash, I'm a merchant. I own a rare, I can mine runeite, and that's all I need. F2pers can already make good cash, it's just that most choose not to, and I find it somewhat annoying that p2pers are so bloody greedy. "Oh teh noes f2p kud mak munee!!!11!!" So what? Quit runescape, now playing EVE-Online(Mail Cambarus and say hi  )
July 29, 200619 yr giving them fletchign would basically mean the f2pers would hav the same shot of making cash as us(p2p) high alchings(yew longs) is probably one of the best ways to make cahs u see Yeah, but f2p cant craft nats. And alot of people who high alch in members craft their own nats you see. And, if they buy, nats in f2p go higher then the price of nats in p2p. Anyways, I think fletching needs to be f2p and maybe yew longs should be too :). And the new skill should be sailing :P. Edit: But, that means a f2p flax feild. Currently going for 76 fishing
July 30, 200619 yr If Jagex should ever to decide to give f2p fletching, would they also give f2pers the ability to smith arrowheads as well? If f2p gets fletching it would probably have a chain reaction in terms of economics. Wood prices probably increase since f2pers now have a use for the wood they chop instead of having to sell to p2p players. With the increase demand of wood, bots would definitely increase which could reduce wood prices to what they are now. It might actually profit Jagex indirectly to give f2pers fletching. Why? It comes down to bank space. F2p players would have to make room to store woods, feathers, strings, and arrowheads. My bank itself is already full and I will soon have to resort to sell off items and drop randoms to accomodate fletching. Some players may be frustrated to the point with their limited bank space that they may more willing to get members to store their fletching materials, along with their other possesions.
July 30, 200619 yr it should be that rangeing and fletching should be 1 as archary and the fletching part stays member. that way we keep an origanal skill and get a new 1

July 30, 200619 yr yes but knives, javilens, axes, ect are already under range as throwing weapons. sence levels to use them are the same as arrowso it can be considerd archary. you are still useing force to propel an item with metal on it
July 30, 200619 yr Author big bad barron your post defeats the whole point completly of trading one skill for another. thxs vibro for the sig ^_^.

You raise an extremley good point there. I don't think they need it, but if they ever decide to, they would need; * Ability to smith arrowheads up to addy *Ability to make Maple Longbows *Ability to spin/pick flax. Spinning flax could, in a way, make it to easier for lower level players to make money, I can see it now, millions of players below lvl 60 flocking to the flax field, picking their hearts out in view of the very much appraciated rune kite..( ) |Msg me me in-game | IrreIephant| ^ capital i
July 31, 200619 yr i Think they should make some of fletching F2p. Mage's have runcrafting. Warriors have smithing. But range is just to expesive if you can't make some of the stuff yourself. I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm! What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-
July 31, 200619 yr If one of the member skills would become F2P, I'd prefer agility. Seeing the agility levels counts for the restore of energy on F2P, it's a big disadvantage for F2P PKers...
July 31, 200619 yr if fletching would become f2p, they should only allow arrows and arrow heads to be made, and not the bows, because we would only be able to make 3 types of bows without haveing to buy the logs (maple). also, where the heck would a flax field go in f2p? if arrows could be made, it would be just as good as rcing is to a mage (as in we could make arrows up to steel, maby mith but not addy/rune). there's my two cents

Anyway I'd like to see some of fletching free, maybe not so much bows, as they are easy to obtain anyway, but definatly up to steel arrows. Or perhaps instead of having the skill yourself, maybe something similar to the apothecary and strength potions, taking 1 bar, 15 feathers and 1 log to a person (such as the arrow salesman in Rimmington) and him making you 15 arrows, so that f2p have at least a cheaper alternative to make arrows, even if they cannot do it themselves.
July 31, 200619 yr Like was said I personally agree that giving fletching would cause a chain reaction. It would upset the economy but I do believe f2p could recover. I also agree with Sp00n. The ability to take the items needed for the arrows to a NPC and getting the arrows with little or no charge would help f2p ranged immensely(sp). But technically f2p has a member skill...agility. If I was given 1 month of members free and could never be a member again after that I would go straight to the agility course because the regeneration of you energy transfers to f2p. Giving a noticeable advantage. Presto instant eggs. i have the solution to "goblin diplomacy"...kill wartface and bentnoze.
July 31, 200619 yr Heeeeeeck no. Couple reasons: #1 - Fletching is a fun skill. To me anyways. Plus it isn't hard at all... just takes a whole lot of clicking :anxious: . #2 - It is an easy skill to level when your looking to raise your overall total. Lets face it. You could cut willows @ draynor bank for a whole day and have thousands of willow logs. All you gotta do then is sit right infront of the bank and fletch them into bows (assuming you have the level for it.. I'm just using them as an example). That is a lot of EXP even if you dont string them. #3 - Fletching is a great way to make money. Depending on the level of course. At 85 fletching (magic longs), you can make some serious dough for yourself. On top of that, if you buy all the supplies to cut, string, and alch a magic long... after the alching you make back almost (if not ALL) that you spent. Meaning a lot of levels and EXP for little to no loss of money. I like fletching. Plus it is my highest level (86). It is so easy to level up once you get to level 70 and up. Just takes some time, money (even though you'll make most if not all of it back), and a lot of clicking. The new skill members would get would have to be pretty darn good IMO. I don't understand why reasons 1 or 2 are against giving f2p the fletching skill. If the decision was left to you Zib, what's wrong with giving a skill that is fun and easy to level? Reason number 3 is about money so here's my take on it. Overall, I think that it's safe to say that more money is transferred into p2p than vice versa. Willow, yew longs, are only of use to p2p players, ie treasure trail stuff, rares, and etc. It sucks because of the fact that f2p can acquire wood but can't even use it. Therefore they have to either just drop it, light it (firemaking a useless f2p skill, in terms of money anyway), or sell it. I don't see why then wc is even an f2p skill. It is just a skill so that p2p can find cheap, bountiful labour?
