Vanquish8706
Last night a very close friend of mine signed off runescape with several hundred 1k worth of items on him...This morning when he signed on all the items he had one him were gone...money...dragon weapons...rune armor...etc. While his first mistake was having everything still on him, hacking is still atrocious. So after talking to my friend he figured the most plausible way he could have been hacked was through RSBattle. This may be a bold assumption, but when you take into account his next mistake the evidence is overwhelming. His second mistake was to sign up with the same user name and password. So while this hacking is mostly his fault...it is also the fault and arrogance of those of who hacked. What he and I are now attempting to do is to warn others about the possible dangers of RSBattle and possibly the secret intentions the said website has. So our warning to all of you is too possibly avoid RSbattle, but more importantly protect your password and DO NOT use it on any other runescape website! My intentions here are not slanderous but more of an attempt to express an assumption and warn others of a possible danger a website out there may pose...as well as a warning and first hand experiences of being careless with a password. Vanquish8706
I clearly know not to use my same password and I didnt...but my friend wasnt so smart... Just wanted to warn anyone else before a possible disaster...but yes my friend is stupid and I let him know and he knows it is primarily his fault too. Zibl
Never use your RS password for anything else....never :shame: Especially for another RuneScape based game. How dumb can you be. Sucks for your friend but common sense goes a long way in this life. I've never heard of RSBattle being hacked either. Plus, do you understand how farfetched your friend's assumptions are? Yup. Somebody hacked into RSBattle, saw your friends user and pass and thought, "Hey! Bet this is the same stuff he uses for RuneScape. Think I'll try it out!". No thank you. I don't buy that for 1 second. Besides, I'm sure Unseen Snipr has some GREAT protection for his game.. not only that, but he'd definetly know if somebody hacked into it and he'd let everybody know that it happened. In wich case he hasn't said anything about it so the game hasn't been hacked. Your friend needs to think of a new idea on how he lost his stuff. alien_slof
Dude, were glad you admitted your friend was stupid and were glad that you feel the need to warn us, but we dont need warning, we are not as stupid as your friend, we all know the dangers of entering your runescape username and password on other sites because we were reminded when tip it passwords all got hacked and many acounts had to be locked. So thanks any way but, we dont need a reminder from you.
Auberean
Most security problems are the fault of the user. A mind not to be changed by place or time. The mind is its own place, and in itselfCan make a heav'n of hell, a hell of heav'n.

Legend_Gaara
I've said this before and I will say it again. - Along with MANY! NEVER USE YOUR RUNESCAPE PASSWORD AS OTHER PASSWORDS ON ANYTHING. Such As, Forums, TeamSpeak/Ventrilo Servers, Instant-Messaging, IRC ect and ect. I think it's an even better idea to not even use your RuneScape name for most. Some forums demand you use your RSN for your username - I suggest maybe not doing this, for security reasons. Sowwie for caps ^_^ I speak for manyyyyyy when I say this :D Legendary F2P Skiller
