Sora_of_Hearts
~Metal Crossbow guide~ Ahoy hoy, names Matthew16200 and welcome to the first and dodgiest guide on the new metal crossbows and how to make them. Hence, this is my first made guide so if it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s a bit skewed, my bad. =) Down to business̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ To begin with, you will need the following things: - A hatchet *depending on your wc lv* - A pickaxe *depending on your mining lv* - Any meat - A hammer - Feathers *depending on the amount of bolts you make* - A range Part 1: Making the crossbow *I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m using the Bluerite as example in this̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ* 1) cut down the recommended tree as viewed in the fletching stats depending on what x-bow you can make and use a knife on the log(s): 2) kill a Somthing meaty and steal its meat, then cook it on a range and an option will appear either: a) cook the meat or, B) Dry the meat into a Sinew, choose Sinew: It will then, like flax form, be spinnable into x-bow string. After spinning the string, you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll have X-bow string. 3) Smithing: grab your pickaxe and head down to the nearest mining spot were you want your bars, weather its Runite or Steel bars. Grab the resources you need for bars, and smith ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¹Ãâem. After the bars are made, head off to an anvil and make 1 pair of crossbow limbs, and then an average of 100 bolts *for testing purposes*. Once created. Use the limbs with the stock then use x-bowstring on x-bow (u) *for Bluerite it would be: Bluerite limbs used on oak stock then use Bluerite x-bow (u) with bowstring.* once the x-bow is constructed, you still have flightless bolts, so use the amount of feathers on the flightless bolts and voila! You have an x-bow set. *ENCHANTED BOLTS* as i discovered, the enchanted bolts are made to fit specific bolts, in other words, only certain gems can be atached to certain bolts. as you craft them you will have an option weather to continue or stop "incase you hit that cut onyx you love" afterwards, in the magic menu, "need a min of 4 mage" you can find a picture of a crossbow on the top row of spells , click that and it will bring up a second option, you can choose to enchant your bolts, but only 1 spell will enchant 10 bolts so if you have 100 or so, best grab a chunk of cosmics firsthand. I DONT KNOW HOW TO PUT PICS ON BUT WHEN I DO, ALL SHALL BE WELL...REVEALED Pm me if any prob̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m in Australia so time-zone maybe whacked. It̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s GMT +10:00. 9jonathan9
couple of things missing... :D 1. You can use cow meat as well as bear meat. It's often easier to get. 2. You MUST use the meat on a RANGE. It doesnt work on a fire. [Admin Edit: Referrals are not permitted on the Tip.it Forums]

Rebdragon
nice guide every thing is in one place  Agreed, more pics would be nice, but it's good. "Dude", is that pic in your avatar real? It's easily possible to get that amount, but it costs a bit, and with your stats- idk :? . It's just a pet peeve of mine; I hate false advertising in sigs and avvy's (unless it's blatently obvious it's fake, as a joke). [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
