66 vs. 99 compays

Which do you guys prefer?

66 which gives 27 laws and 27 noted ess (sometimes takes up to 5-10min to get a trade)

or 99 (no ess back but almost instant service)

I personally prefer 99 because even though you get ess back, you can get 1 or more trips more than them.

I never tried because I don't like running for people so that they can get exp. So I wouldn't know which one I prefer but I'd choose 99 because that number owns.

Neocrononom. Rune pure FTW.

Goals - 99 magic, 99 attack.

If you have a law tally or tiara, it takes less than a minute to get the laws on world 66

Yep thats what I use all the time now. I went to w99 once and it was so confusing.

A reflection is just a distorted reality held by glass and your mind.

And with 10+ Glories it's extremely fast  .

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

(From a law crafters perspective)

66 law crafting was okay when essence (from macroers, no doubt) was about 28-35 gp each.

With the update of pure ess (and essence stocks from those same macroers depleting), it's simply too costly to runecraft on 66 when essence is 100 gp ea +. I never liked trading the essence as the runners were keeping the laws anyways.

World 99 is a better fit for me, and something I'll likely do for a few days to get a few levels.

You can get more cash by running natures on karamja, through fairy rings, on the glider, or, even better, through the abyss. Simply look on the runes section of the runescape official forums and find a crafter.

I was a crafter at World 66 for 3 months, so my loyalty is with world 66. World 99 was originally created for runners who didn't want ess, and for crafters that didn't mind waiting a bit longer if it meant they would save a bit of money. But if you're going for 91 Runecrafting, it is expensive, that's why not many people have over 91, and I think that if you really want 91 RC it's worth paying money for the ess. World 66 is still faster for the crafters, and it helps runners who don't want to waste time buying ess etc. :)

this is exactly what i do. i wear my law tiara, run to the docks, take a boat ride, run into the alter, throw on my redemption prayer so i dont have to say" law me" "law meeee" like all the other noobs, and do a little zombie dance for fun. by that time, i have recieved a trade from at least 1-3 people, trade the, tele, repeat.

if u go to ess mines in world 99 u can get free ess , they wear the same outft as the law crafters

i go there get 1 load drop 1 ess then go to world 66 and get around 2-5k laws and sell them and never spend anything but the money on sapps for games necklace to recharge my glories

Retired from RS since Sept 06

Can someone explain me, why would someone enter the altar and instead of crafting himself the essences, he trade them for laws (on world99 I mean)

Same amount of laws and loss of xp, yuo must be stupid to do that no?

wait, so different worlds give different xp?

The world would be a whole lot better if little green men in UFO's came down to earth to abduct rednecks.

You can enter the altar without having the needed level to craft runes. So a player who can't craft laws (lvl 54 needed) goes there and exchanges his/her pure ess for law runes in equal numbers.

To resume:

W66: crafter gets very fast xp but paying the price of the pure essence. runner makes a profit equal to the number of law runes (s)he ran for.

W99: crafter gets xp for free, without paying anything. runner makes a profit equal to the number of law runes minus the price payed for pure essence. Roughly, the profit in this case is two-thirds of the profit made in the first case.

For crafters, w99 is better in terms of money spent, but the xp is slower as there are less runners.

For runners, w66 is better in terms of money gained, but it's slower as there are too many runners. Moreover, on w99 runners get one more rune per run.

It's now up to each of us to choose whatever suits him/her best... I use both (when I train rcrafting, that is), depending on the number of runners/crafters there.. Sometimes w99 is too slow for my taste.
