August 3, 200619 yr I went to the Family Values tour show on Sunday (KoRn, Deftones, Flyleaf, Stone Sour, 10 years) In Atlanta, Georgia. It was the second date of the show and I was very excited to see KoRn because they have been my favorite band for the last 6 or 7 years and I've followed them very closely as I'm a huge fan. The show was sold out with over 19,000 people attending. The show was amazing but I found out 2 days later that a man named Andy Richardson had died at the event. He got into a fight with 2 other guys out on the field and was left brain dead, dying in the hospital the next day. The guys who did it have yet to come forward. I think this is really sad. These guys were probably drunk or something but it's really uncalled for. This great tour isnt going to get any positive publicity from the media due to this event and lawsuits will probably come from it as well. If you heard that he Andy was Moshpitting when he was beat, this is not true, the 2 men had been moshing and were probably high off something. Andy told them to be careful as he had his pregnant wife and kid with him and thats when the men came after him. What do you all think of this?
August 3, 200619 yr Author I heard he died in a mosh pityou heard wrong. two guys were ruffhousing and he told them to be careful because he had his pregnant wife and a mentally challenged person with him and they started a fight with him. It was in the news, on the fansites, all over.
August 3, 200619 yr Not as nice way to die. :( Sad... Doesn't someone die in the mosh pits like every time?
August 3, 200619 yr Author Not as nice way to die. :( Sad... Doesn't someone die in the mosh pits like every time?Mosh pits typically arent all that dangerous as you might think. He wasnt injured in a mosh pit either. I've been in several mosh pits in the past. If you fall people help you up, if you get hurt people help out. These guys were abviously high or drunk or both. the only rare occation where people do die in mosh pits are usually at massive shows like a big slayer concert or something.
August 3, 200619 yr I've been to a Slayer show before... And let me say, I have seen some pretty violent moshing. I know a few guys got arrested at Slayer for beating the living [cabbage] out of each other. This is a truly sad occurance, especially on the first few days of the Family Values Tour.

August 3, 200619 yr Bah, what's so fun about running in circles whilst waving with your arms anyway? It's not dangerous if you're 6'ft high and heavy build, but if you're not, you shouldn't be there. But this is of course a very sad thing; two stoners with too much agression beating up a man without obvious reasons. Stupid drugs. And since all vibrations are theoretically sound, then it is not unreasonable to suggest that the universe is music and should be perceived as such.

It pains me to see someone with Bill Hicks in their sig say that. "I have never seen two people on pot get in a fight because it is [bleep]ing impossible. 'Hey, buddy!' 'Hey, what?' End of argument." La lune ne garde aucune rancune.

August 4, 200619 yr oh well.... so much for seeing stone sour this summer.... it sucks how 2 people can ruin things for thousands.... Sigs made by Runemetsa, Nuzza, Dark_Shadow, Kuroi and Me.liquid blobs attacking eachother American Anime... YAY!
August 4, 200619 yr I'm assuming the irony in Korn playing in something called "Family Values" was intended. While it's sad that this happened to someone, I can't say I'm suprised. I mean this was at of Korn, who are like... demons.. I mean look at this CD cover: (Before you click, just remember this is pretty disgusting/disturbing). http://cover6.cduniverse.com/CDUCoverAr ... 989288.jpg Who takes their wife and kids to something like this anyways =s? I guess if they were older kids it's not that weird, but still. Blah, sorry, I just hate bands like Korn. Plus, I dont get your point about the album cover, i think its pretty cool.

You're one of those people who think Marilyn Manson is Satan I see. Well, what he sings about is mostly true; he's not preaching evil thoughts, and I assume you think he would, because he looks like a cross breed between a man and a demon. Try to look past the facade. Beautiful people are often the real demons. Bill Hicks[/url]":dhj2kan9]Since the one thing we can say about fundamental matter is, that it is vibrating. August 4, 200619 yr Very well said, Wakka. I thought it was sad, yet predictable, however, now hearing that his kid and wife were there, it's just 100 times worse. That's pretty damn horrible. It was probably a mistake to bring them there in the first place, but I'm sure his intentions were good (obviously) so that doesn't matter. They'll probably never catch the turds that did it, either. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

August 4, 200619 yr I'm assuming the irony in Korn playing in something called "Family Values" was intended. Yeah actually, it was. Kind of a joke on all the middle-american suburb-living bastards. While it's sad that this happened to someone, I can't say I'm suprised. I mean this was at of Korn, who are like... demons.. Demons? That's kind of harsh. They just play music ... If you listen to their lyrics there's absolutely nothing demonic about it. Lots of mindless sex, violence, etc, but as far as drugs ... Johnathan Davis (lead singer for Korn) has been clean for a while now. That's why he put on so much weight. :( I mean look at this CD cover: (Before you click, just remember this is pretty disgusting/disturbing). http://cover6.cduniverse.com/CDUCoverAr ... 989288.jpg They don't draw their own cover art, you know. Besides, look at some of the things painted in the so called "Classical" era. You can find some really disturbing imagery in what many would call fine art. Who takes their wife and kids to something like this anyways =s? I guess if they were older kids it's not that weird, but still. Do NOT even start there. You make it out like what happened was this guy's own fault for attending such a "Demonic", "Disturbing" show. What happened to this man was a tragedy, so don't start placing the blame on him. You shouldn't have to worry about personal injury no matter who's playing the concert. This wasn't the fault of the victim or the band, it was the fault of those two Godless bastards who attacked him. (don't get me wrong on "Godless", I don't personally believe in God, it's just an adjective.) Blah, sorry, I just hate bands like Korn. I'm sure they're none too fond of you, either. My greatest ambition is to kill every member of the human race. However I am a realist and therefore know that I probably wont be able to.
August 4, 200619 yr okay we get it kido go his [wagon] burnt by like 5 people lol. Thats really sad to see someone die especially when they didnt do anything wrong. Trix.--quit WoW as of 12/07Thank you 4be2jue for the wonderful sig and avatar!

Korn is a good band but they're not as hard as you're trying to make them out to be. What makes you think they're "demons", just because they play nu-metal even though that can't compare to any hardest form of death metal? That CD cover isn't even that disturbing. I know people who've taken their kids to concerts. You think that just because Korn is a nu-metal band that they act exactly like bands like GWAR? 123 Combat / 1900 Skill Total / 99 HP / 7x 99 Stats
August 4, 200619 yr if you dont like my music dont post here, your not contributing to the conversation by saying the band is "evil" because your very wrong and don't know what your talking about. I didn't come here just to say I don't like your music. I told you that it's sad that this guy died, just like everyone else did. You have no idea what you're talking about. I don't think Marilyn Manson IS Satan, but he acts like he's possessed by him. I didn't say anything about anyone "preaching evil thoughts," and even if I did, why WOULDN'T I think he was if he looks like a cross breed between a man and a demon, as YOU even said. That last sentence was an unclever attempt to be deep IMO =;. :( Yea I know it was harsh, but I didn't know how else to describe it. That's just what came to my mind. I know it wasn't right of me to judge them like that. But to be honest, I tried listening to them once but I had to turn it off before I through up, much less try to understand their lyrics. Mindless sex, violence, etc are barely worse than drugs. Actually most of these are caused by drugs. They don't draw their own cover art, you know. Besides, look at some of the things painted in the so called "Classical" era. You can find some really disturbing imagery in what many would call fine art. The fact is they used it for their CD cover. I know some people find it.. fine art I guess :shivers: I was just stating my opinion. I put the warning about it being disturbing because other people that are like me might find it disturbing, so I figured it would be better to be safe than sorry. To me it's disgusting, and I can't look at it for more than 15 seconds without throwing up on my keyboard. What's cool about a freaky looking kid on an adult body? Like I said it's my opinion. Do NOT even start there. You make it out like what happened was this guy's own fault for attending such a "Demonic", "Disturbing" show. What happened to this man was a tragedy, so don't start placing the blame on him. You shouldn't have to worry about personal injury no matter who's playing the concert. This wasn't the fault of the victim or the band, it was the fault of those two Godless silly persons who attacked him. (don't get me wrong on "Godless", I don't personally believe in God, it's just an adjective.) I never said it was his fault, I was just wondering who brings kids to see a band like Korn. And like I said, I guess it just depends on the age of the kid. WHen I first read the "wife and kids" thing I pictured them being little kids, which I doubt they were. I was not blaming him in any way, but everyone who read what I said seemed to take it that way. I was saying I wasn't suprised because, even though this is stereotypical, it seems like people who listen to Korn and their "violent" lyrics would probably more likely to cause trouble than someone at a... I don't know, Christian band concert or something (I'm not saying Christian music is better.. I'm just giving an example. I don't even listen to Christian music). I still feel horrible for the guy that got killed, and resentment to the two goons who attacked him. I'm sure they're none too fond of you, either. Good. Sorry I couldn't take the time to respond to every one of you who flamed me. I didn't come here to make fun of anyone in any way, I was just saying I wasn't suprised something like this happened, and why. I wasn't really planning on having to spend this much time in this thread, but everybody who visited seems to feel the need to bash me because I don't like your music. I just have a hard time finding how anyone could even call this stuff music, but that's a whole other debate.
