Blipo
I'm thinking of getting a corn snake, and I'm looking for advice on raising them, or in fact any other snakes. Yes, I've read up on them, I know how to look after them... but I'm interested in the stuff online care sheets don't cover. When are they most active? What are their eating habits like? How are snakes in general when in a crowded environment (as in, around a lot of people)? If you have a snake, could you bestow upon me some knowledge? knives669
My best friend had a pet snake. A ten foot boa. I used to practically live over there, so I took care of the snake quite often. You have to keep the cage in extremely good shape. Keep it very clean. Otherwise it will smell... and the snake will get cranky. Don't be afraid to feed it. If you hesitate, while holding a small mammal. It might lunge for your hand instead of the animal itself. >.< Occasionally, you'll have to clean the snake. Just put it in the bathtub and let it slither around. ^_^ That should be good enough. I have to say that they're most active around night time. If you can get something in the snake's cage that generates heat, it will be much easier to handle. It will just stay near the warmth and sleep most of the time. fgfuyfyuiuy0
You can't over-cook the food or under-cook it. They can die if you mess up. Make sure you clean their cage a lot, because they get pretty cranky when it's filled with fecies and all that fun stuff. I <3 Gears of War 2. Add me on Xbox Live and mention you are from Tif :D

Blipo
Not what I'm looking for. It's too factual; I have all the facts. I'm looking for advice. I think there's a difference.

Dayking321
If its tame im guessing you should not have many problems. I live in Australia, and altough I have never had a snake as a pet, wild ones kill easly. Currently going for 76 fishing
Necromagus
Well, with snakes being reptiles they'd be most active during the hours that the heat lamp is on...
