dargonhuman Posted August 23, 2006 Share Posted August 23, 2006 You know, it actually makes sense that Jagex staff would watch popular fansites like Tip.It, if for no other reason to make sure the fansite isn't using any of their material illegally. It's also a good way to keep better tabs on the issues, concerns and interests of the players. If I made a game that became as popular as RuneScape, I'd definitely keep a watchful eye on any major fansites in order to keep providing content that the players wanted. Because I too (back when I used to play) recieved a PM here on Tip.it from some random person who had only about 6 or 7 total posts. It is quite a long story on why we needed to talk in-game, but to make a long story short he told me (in the PM here on Tip.it) to add him in-game. It was a Mod name too. I called BS. But reguardless I ended up getting a PM from the mod in-game and I felt pretty dumb.
