August 24, 200619 yr Since Lion isn't on IRC again, I'll just post here. We already talked about this yesterday, but I just want to make it clear. If FFX isn't available in most stores and there's only FFX-2, would she have trouble playing that? Is the gameplay for X-2 newbie-friendly too? I don't want her having a hard time while playing this game. It's similiar, but the ATB gauge is back. ATB stands for Active Time Battle. Basically, any person in a fight can attack as long as their gauge is full. It can be hard for beginners, but makes the game faster and easier in places. Since this can lead to combos etc. It's got a nice storyline, familiar characters from FFX aswell. There are only 3 characters though, while usually FFs have about 8. This just makes it easier really. Instead of specific characters fro specific jobs, each character can change 'jobs'. Overall, she shouldn't have a hard time playing it. It starts off quite slowly with a good story along the way. And where the hell do you go for your IRC? :(

It was the first (and only) FF I've ever played and it really didnt seem hard at all. It just takes time to adjust to everything.

I WAS EXPECTING MORE FROM A FINAL FANTASY GAME All you fan boys out there who love final fantasy but don't like the game are gonna say it rocks right? WRONG! The game was the saddest attempt at a fps I have ver played. I t was not engaging it was not entertaining. I have come to expect more from a ff genre game and what do I get? I good story line but crappy gameplay. the graphics weren't all that snazzy either but that doesn't matter. The game was infinatley worse than any other ff game. It was so repetitive. The firggen gun barrel was bigger than th guys hand! I was crappy gameplay, crappy movement. The only thing right about it was the storyline! Do not buy this game, waste of money, I repeat, do not buy final fantasy 12,13, 14 whatever the hell it is! Do not buy it for god sakes! And that was my humble 2 cents, I am glad I got it off my chest. Equips anti flaming sheild: here we go You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."

Each FF 6 and beyond has a theme to them (FFVI's is that with power comes great responsibility, FFVII's is the whole "Life is preciouse, dont take it away(Makko/life stream)", ect....). I can agree the game play is not on par with other Fps games, but i dont think it was ever ment to be a great shooter. The whole point was to give light to another dark historyed (is that a word?) character, and fill in the final chapter for the FFVII series. And if you see the movie, im preatty sure nothing is ment to be put into real context (ie. The guns barrel being like a shot gun's on a michine gun, and being held in one hand). Heack, im preatty sure the name Final FANTASY basicly gives it away that it isnt sappoused to be near real. Plus the graphics are amazing for a ps2 game, the fmv's almost match the movies, which look very much real to me. Lastly, I am doubting FFVII's performance, but I will still welcome it as a fanboy. *Finishes attack, dealing 9999 damage* Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! It has an AWESOME storyline, you can go anywhere on the world whenever you want, it has a mini game place, and the characters and everything else rock =P~ That was to the guy wonder which one to get his friend. Oh, i rented dirge of cerberus, it was sub-par, its really hard to see the enemy though, i have to rely on when my semi auto aim goes red to find where they are :uhh: Its easy :-k

Its difficult to find them. I slowly aimed my cross hairs across teh tops of every building and waited till it turned red to find where they are :anxious:
