Is this the right way to cast fail curse? I'm wearing full rune, no ammy and earth staff. I bought body and water runes from varrock rune store and casting it on monk of zamorak in Varrock Palace. Clicking the spell book each time and sometimes it casts the spell :\ If this is the WRONG way to cast it please fix my problem and post any suggestions you may have. Thank You.

That is exactly how your supposed to do it. You could also throw in some dhide vambraces to lower your magic even further if you wanted too.

Yeah, but the thing is I'm a defense pure :D ALL combat stats are 1 except hp and defense so I can't use vambraces. Also I'm F2p so can't use robin and rangers boots. Thank You for all ideas, I'm still looking for more suggestions and places to cast the spell.

Your method is fine, but I cast it on the Zombies in the sewer - if you do happen to cast successfully then there is always another zombie to aim at.

One more question, when you say there's always another zombie to aim at.. does that mean if you cast it successfully and cast curse again at it it'll be worst? If so, I've made a big mistake casting over 1k curse spells :\

Dragon Vambrace do not have defence requirements, nor does Dragon Chaps. Only the body has the def requirement.

 

 

 

Also once you successfully cast curse on a zombie, you need to find another zombie to cast it again. You cannot cast curse on a monster that is already cursed. Otherwise High level monster defence would just be useless.

What i meant was You cant cast Curse on a monster that has already been Cursed with Curse. You can Weaken it no problem, just not the same weakening spell.

Well, what is your magic attack stat?

 

It should be -65 to always fail.

 

 

 

You can get -65 with Full helm, Chestplate, Legs, and Kite shield

 

using any metal from Bronze to Rune.

 

 

 

If you are using an Earth staff then your magic attack stat will only be -55

 

so most players also wear green dragonhide vambraces (-10) to drop

 

it back to -65.

 

 

 

Good places to cast include the Red zammy monk under the Varrock

 

palace stairs, Varrock sewer key room into the 4 zombie ladder room,

 

caged wizzy tower lesser demon, Port Sarim jail prisoners, etc.

Thank You this really helped me, also concerning chenw, when I said "weaken" I meant after succesfully cursing the enemy I could curse it again ~ 2 seconds after I've successfully casted it.

If your curse succeeds, you can't curse the same monster again until the first one wears off.

You get exactly the same xp for a 'splash' than for a succesful Curse (I think)

err, sorry, but magic is a combat stat, so you'll gain levels for it.

 

 

 

 

 

PS. the other magic penalty piece you can use is stronghold boots, another -3 - and a defence pure should be able to charge through all the levels, maybe even all at once with one load of food (on a "get through" run without stopping to fight).

the monster will attempt to attack you anyway (the're mean like that) the difference is that if your curse succeeds, you cant cast it again, so you have to fail to keep casting it on the same thing

You can use an Earth staff if you also wear green dragonhide vambraces.

 

 

 

In that case, they "cancel" each other out.

 

 

 

If you don't use an Earth or Water staff then you have

 

to get a lot more runes to cast Curse each time.

I am trying to do the same method, but with mystic mud staff... My mage bonus is -60 and I am still hitting nearly every time. Any suggestions??
