I may be wrong, but I believe the difference is lag is something only you experience (i.e., only you see a bowing monster, but it goes away after someone kills it), whereas a glitch is a temporary bug that everyone sees (i.e. everyone sees the bowing monster, but it goes away after it's killed). First, you used the egg ring. Before you actually changed into a egg, you were supposed to right click your gree gree. You would end up having the right click options of the gree gree while in egg form. Next, you waited a few seconds then equipped your gree gree from the right click menu. Voila! You could do everything a monkey could do, but in human form with super stretchy appendages. It was fixed so I don't see the harm in saying how people did it.
