sparky697
to start this off, i'm a 16 year old young man. i'm really responsible. i dont party, or get into much trouble. i just got my drivers license about 3 months ago, and have wanted a vehicle ever since. i am NOT into tuners or foreign cars, but i am a big chevy and dodge fan. ok so my dad's good friend, or my "Uncle," as i call him (because i've known him forever and he's a real good guy), has a late 90's chevy s10 with a 305 chevy small block in it. it's pretty fast. my dad went up north friday night, and he told me that my uncle was selling it for $2000. i have $1200 in the bank saved up from working since i was little. i told my dad that i would work the $800 off if he borrowed me the $800. so, what i need to know, is that do you think this is good? it's not going to change my mind, but it's late at night, i'm not tired, and i wanted to make a post, and this is the latest news in my life. also, it's currently 3 am, and i have to wait 7 more hours until i figure out if he bought it or not. i called him and asked him if he's gonna buy it, and he said "dont worry about it," which i think is a yes. well, wish me luck, i hope i get it. post your thoughts, comments, whatever i guess. Nadril
If you can pay back the money like you said, go for it man. I'm sure it would make your parrents happy too (you could pay it back fast, prove you are responsible). I'd go for it, especialy if you like the car. :)

StrOwez
Get it checked out first before buying by a machanic or a friend who knows about cars - you dont want a car that breaks down two weeks after it̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôs baught... ford_rule
looks good, good option of buying off your dads mate too, he would be less likely to sell you a dud vehicle.
indy500fan
buying from friends can sometimes lead to problems. just remember its a used car, so there may be things wrong with it. most things your "uncle" probably doesnt know about, so dont start blaming him for selling you a broken down vehicle. Guest XplsvBam
2,000 for a chevy s10 is very reasonable, especially if it has been driven by an adult that takes care of his vehicles. I would recomend taking care of it though. A late 90's vehicle isn't bullet proof.
killersushipunk
Buy a moped. \ I used to have a link to my school's project to provide fresh water to a Kenyan Village, but the sig police changed the link to say something, which, if followed, leads to an "ahem" adult website. Let me ask you. Which do you think is worse?
Tigra00
S-10's are pretty good vehicles if you ask me. My dad used to drive one (way back before he got his Dodge, and now his F-350 Turbo Deisel) and even back then when I was young, it was rusted and old looking, but ran good. As far as I know of, that truck is STILL, to this day, being driven...We've seen the guy who bought it running around in it. :P The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!
