deloriagod Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 Ok so my problem isn't so little.. And I guess I'll start from the beginning.. Today I came home from school and there was a white car parked out front. I usually walk with my neighbor but I didn't see her after school so I walked alone. I didn't think too much about the car but I did notice two coloredguys sitting inside watching me (where I live there's not many colored people).. I opened the garage door and closed it once I was in. I didn't have a good feeling about the guys but I put it out of my mind and opened up the doors to let some fresh air in. I was just booting up my computer when my mom called. She said my neighbor (a year younger than me, and a female for the record..) was coming over because she was scared of the guys in the car. Appearently they has watched her when she got home too. So she came over and I stood at the front door watching them. They didn't seem to be up to much but the kept pointing in my direction and finally one of them waved at me. So my neighbor grabbed a pair of my binoculars and poked her head through a bush to get the license plate number without being seen then we just stayed out of sight at watched the guys until her mom got home. When her mom pulled up the two guys drove off quickly. Her mom called the police and when they came they said they'd run the plates and told us to call 911 if the guys showed up again. So about 10 minutes later the police caught the guys sitting at the end of the street. The guys made up some bs story and I didn't hear what happened to them but I think they got off the hook. I just got home from drivers ed not too long ago and I asked my parents what was going on with those guys and such. I found out there's some people who may want to hurt my neighbors (whom I love like family). So now I plan on walking home with my neighbor everyday and keeping a close eye on her. I'm not afraid of them hurting me (considering I'm probably the strongest of all my friends) but I'm scared for my neighbor. Tomorrow I have a drive for drivers ed after school so my mom is going to pick my neighbor up.. But seeing the size of the two guys who were watching us today.. Well, I know if they went after her there isn't much she could do.. Well I thought I'd share this little (or not so little) ordeal with you all.. By being talked to once already, if they're in the area again they will be arrested. They aren't breaking any laws, but it's kind of like a restraining order if you look suspicious and are talked to. Not much else you can do, really. There were some black guys around here a couple years back trying to kidnap girls. They got arrested for coming around here again. If I were in your shoes, I would be nervous and scared too, but I'm sure that it will all be allright. Everything will work out fine, and even if you do see those people again, you can call the cops and they WILL be arrested. I'm doing everything I can and wanting to do so much more atm. I wish I didn't have drivers ed right after school tomorrow so I could walk her home and be sure those guys aren't hanging around again. And to everyone, I'll be sure to keep you updated on this as much as I can. I used to think fear was a waste of emtion until this started happening.. Now I know how horrible it is, and I have new found sympathy for those who are truely scared. Also.. No need to fear for my safety (at least while I'm home) I've been carrying a knife with me (just in case). I know its sharp cause I cut my finger on it once just by lightly running it across my finger.. I'm currently transitioning from a Wizard to a Mage and a Priest to an Archpriest. Lol both are nonexistant in the top 25. Don't get too worked up over it right now, but if you see them again be sure to call the cops right away. If possible, get good descriptions of them/the car just incase something does happen - it never hurts to be safe. Ohh... and don't try to be a hero. Walking your neighbor home is fine and all, but don't put yourself in danger. Hope everything works out. Carrying a knife around with you is plain stupid, if anything des kick off what do you think you're going to do, stab them? That can get you in a whole lot of trouble and put you and the girl in even more danger, if people are wanting to hurt your neighbours then they aren't going to be too happy if you hurt one of them. It was when my neighbor came over and was scared that I got a little concerned. Then I found out there's some people that may want to hurt my neighbors. And if it had been two white guys sitting in the car, I would have said there were two white guys sitting in the car. They drove off quickly when her mom got home and the cops caught them sitting at the end of my street.. And maybe I am a little paranoid but I fear for my neighbors safety..
