To quit RS or not?

Featured Replies

Wow....a year ago I could not have imagined posting anything like this......Runescape is actually getting boring, the quality of updates, and the community is going downhill, Runescape has, in my opinion, passed its time of glory, and is going downhill now. I keep thinking to myself, to quit or not to?

Friends never on nemore, 1s starting WOW soon, heck, even my forum mod friend is never on nemore

Ne advice on what i should do?

if you really want to quit, then do it, and invest in some rares, JIC you want to come back

Back by popular demand!

And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all.

Im not rich enough to invest in anything, whenever I get a decent amt of money, I always get scammed somehow.

Why do you even create that kind of mentality for yourself? If you feel like playing runescape, log on. What else matters?

i guess you are p2p form your sig, so how about doing some CW. it is a great way to get a few friends, either in the waiting room or around the standard. plus it is still the best mini game for enjoyment

Eh, it doesn't matter to anyone but you and your close friends...

if you feel like its boring then go ahead...

If you think that you might quit yeah you might wanna try and stock up on rares... And that line about being scammed is bs i lost a whip and 2.6 mill in the wildy a day after each other... now im sitting with a santa and about 9 mill cash... you get back up when you lose somthing

Well, if you don't like it quit. :| Not much purpose of this thread..

yah, my parents my brother and 2 of my best friends play now, when i knew over 40 people that played

W.O.Ws the biggest source of people quitting runescape

i just dont understand why people would play 10 bucks more to play a silly mmorpg as good as runescape i like them both in general but if u think this games getting out in hand then quit but no1 in this thread care at all

Accaunts are kept alive for at least 180 days (based on my tests), so you can go 6 months without touching this game and not worry. It's helpfull too, in my opinion, to hang it up for a while. So go ahead and give it a break if you're bored. You can come back later and find new quests, mini-games, silly little nobs wandering too deep in the wilderness-and it might be fun again.

If it's not, oh well-you came, you played, next! :D

Geez finally someone put what I wanted to say in a very simple way.

Why does the word "quit" enter peoples minds? Seriously is this game like an addiction to you?? If you feel like playing, then log on. If not, then don't log on.

Thanks tons Adam, I think I may have to sig you.

Lol, the game is pretty boring for me also, but I told myself that I will go on a 2500+ Barraging spree in CW before I go :P , and I will follow through with that. Sadly, these last three levels -I have the runes- are somewhat difficult when I don't do "boring" things, like Alch, Tele, or Enchant for pure experience :wall: .

I say take a break, one month+ at least. That has worked for me in the past three times in my 2 years of playing, I come back a year later and the game seems much more fun.

Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

i was feeling the same way a few weeks ago, runscape was getting a bit boring, so i looked through my bank and the archive of wisdom and tried to find something new to do, metal drags was the answer, had about 8k chaos from barrows, so off i went and proptly died (rot in hell ROW) so i looked again and wanted to make some money quickly and then my love of the KQ started, chain on 12th kill

all the above is not really specific to the post, but the moral of the story is, find something new to do, kill chompies, bake cakes, make nat, just break your useual routine and youll find runescape fun again, it worked for me :D

thats how i was feeeling

so i've dropped my bank and left , just to do other things for a while

rs can still be fun at times, and there are people to talk to.

i'll probably come back in coming month, for a fresh start, a new bank, from scratch.

meh

i found myself in a simliar situation finding rs very boring and lacking the furfillment it once had. I tried to quit but cannot throw away something a spent 10 months on and suddenly stop. My advice is to try and quit but to come back and talk to friends u made on rs

Wondering what to do with life .....

Ive quitted loads of times but I always came back but make sur eyou dont give away your stuff! I did every time and had to start over :(

I asked myself that same question a week back, when i got bored of constant training. I decided to take a day off to think about my flash animation project, and i caved in by the end of the day \'

Glad i didn't actually quit now. The recent quests have been awesome, IMO, and i find myself having fun again. Try setting multi-skill goals, and swap between them when you find yourself getting bored. Works for me.

And about the community, not everyone is a scammer or idiot, i meet new people all the time who are awesome.

I've quit RuneScape countless number of times because the community sucks, I totally agree with that.

But at the end of the day the only person to make the decision is yourself.

Good luck with what ever decision you choose.

- Denic.

I quited RS like 1-2 year ago (or more it was a little after RS2 came) and started playing AQ - i then became lvl 92 and fought me to get the best set in the game in 1 month, and then when i had it there was̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâônt really anything to do.. so i quited that too (like a year ago), so like 2 weeks ago i started again and now i think its fun again - i have new goals and the good thing about RS is that is p2p so even when you have reached your goals there is still a alot fun left when u can use all ur hard work and go kill people:)

Well
